I cringe looking up scanning a young girl around my age standing in front of me. She is wearing black leather pants, black jacket over a dark grey shirt, and black boots. Her face is pale but a defiant shape with glowing brown eyes, and dark brown hair in a braid.
"You can run I see." She smirks. My body is shaking. Is she going to kill me? "Come on I'm not one of them, we need you." She smiles and gives me her hand. I stare at the kind offer but can I trust her? "Are you coming, or do you want to die here?"she questions me. What's the difference I'm no good on my own here anyway. I grab her hand and she lifts me up.
"Where am I?" I blurt out. Her head snaps forward to look at me.
"You don't remember?" She gives me a questioning look.
"No... I-I woke up laying on the ground with no memories of this place." I tell her.
"Oh" she looks away confused. "We have to go somewhere safe to talk about this, come." She grabs my wrist pulling me. We are running, once I catch my balance I run on my own and she lets go. I am passing her slightly but I slow my self enough so I can see where we are going. We make sharp turns and eventually she pulls me in between metal bushes. They scratch my arm but don't bleed. "Sit." She acts like I'm a dog, but I do as she says.
"Now what?" I ask and she snaps her head at me.
"Are you sure your not going through the changing?" She questions with a worried look.
   "The what?" I ask.
"Did they stick a syringe in your arm?" She looks back through the bushes with her eyes focused on the little movement out there.
"I don't think so." I say quietly. What even is going on here?
"Do you feel sick? Or lightheaded?" She asks still focused out. Maybe from not knowing where I am duh, but not from a fluid in a syringe.
"No, just confused." I shake my head a little but she doesn't look anyways. "I remember my mama and sister coming home from school, that's it." She turns her head and gives me a confused look.
   "School?"
"You know where you learn?" I ask. She nods.
"You are not from here, explains the clothing." She looks down at me.
"What is that supposed to mean?" I get upset.
   "Nothing..." She mutters.
"Who are you?" I change the subject she looks back at me.
"My name is Isabelle." She glances out the bushes before continuing, "your name?" She asks. I don't remember my name. How do I not know my name?
"I don't remember" I frown. She looks sad.
"Pick one then." She smiles,"take your time." I think of a lot of girl names. Sarah? Lily? Or Claire? No they are all usual names. I like The names Teresa and Reegan. But they don't sound like me. If I mix the names it could be Teegan haha But I like that actually.
"Teegan" I whisper. She seems so focused I don't understand.
   "What?" She asks.
"My name is Teegan." I answer proudly at my accomplishment of making my name.
"Ok Teegan I like it." She smiles.
"Why are you different from everyone else?" I ask.
"I'm in a secret organization called 'The Hidden' and we are against the government who change the people to all be the same."she glances at the dirt.
"Why do they want them to be the same?" I ask confused.
"They hope to fix the society and make themselves rich and powerful." She rolls her eyes. "We are trying to stop them."
   "I see..."
"you can join us and help, your speed is amazing." She smiles. I nod. She pulls a dagger out of her pocket and her face is back to focus. She adjust on her feet ready to jump out any moment.
