Chapter 22

"I've got a surprise for you gals today," Alan announces the next morning. "Daddy! Daddy! What is it?" AJ asks, excitedly jumping up and down. "You," he says booping her nose," little girl, is just going to have to wait like everybody else."

I watch intently as Presley sticks out her lip, "Please tell us now, Daddy. I'll die if you don't." Alan rubs his chin, thinking, "Sorry girlies, but you have to wait until your uncles show up."

I grin, "Those losers." Alan shakes his head at me, "Hey kid, be nice." I nod, "Okay, as long as you tell me." Alan sighs, "Bribery's not going to work." I snap, "Darn it!"

"Can we call our uncles?" AJ asks. I laugh, "Wow, they're desperate. I'll call them girls." They jump up and down, "Yay! Mia, you're the best!"

I dial Joey's number and wait for three rings until he answers groggily, "Hello?" I smile, "Hey Joe, it's Mia. Can you come over soon. Alan won't tell us the surprise until you're here." I hear him chuckle slightly, "Sure love, give me 15. See ya!"

I hang up and do a little dance, "Joe's on his way, now to get Caleb and Chad." The girls cheer. I dial Chad's number. "Hey baby sis," he says, answering the phone. I grin, "Hey Chadster, ya busy?"

"Nah, just chilling. What's up?" He asks. "Alan has a surprise and won't tell us til you get here," I whine. "Hmm, is that so?" He asks, I can practically see him smirking, "In that case, I'm busy."

"Chad please," I beg. "Fine, I'll be over in a few sour patch," he sighs. "Thanks, bro, you the bomb," I say.

"Two down, girlies. Only Caleb left, and he's the easy one," I say grinning. The girls smile really big, excited to find out the surprise. Caleb answers the phone on the third ring.

"Hey kiddo," he says. "Caleb, you have to come over, I need you!" I exclaim. "What is it?" He asks. "I need you to come so I can know the surprise," I inform. "Give me 5, kid. I'll be right over."

"Did it work?" Presley asks me. I nod, "Yep girls, your uncles will be here any minute now." AJ nods, "Good cuz I need to know what the surprise is."

I feel hands covering my eyes, "Guess who?" Three voices ask. AJ, Pres, and I turn around to find the guys covering our eyes.

"Uncle Caleb!" Presley says, happily jumping in her uncle's arms. AJ does the same with Joey.

"Hey Chadster," I smile. He ruffles my hair, "Hey girl." I raise an eyebrow, "What's the surprise?!" I jump up and down enthusiastically. "Alan's gonna tell us in a few, calm yourself child. What did Alan feed you? Crazy juice?"

"If that's the case, he must've given you some years ago," I retort. Chad looks shocked, then raises his hand for a high five, "I've taught you well, young padawon."

Alan raises his hands, "Kids, we have a surprise for you." AJ, Presley, and I sit down, eager for the news. "Well, I don't know if you girls know it or not, but we have to go to Times Square this weekend," Alan says, reaching into his back pocket," So we got you tickets to see Aladdin on Broadway!"

I jump up, and wrap my arms around Alan's neck. "Dude, I've wanted to see that play forever!" I exclaim, "Thank you so much!" He grins, "No problem, it's the least I could do."

"Is Brycie coming with us?" I ask. "No, I think my darling Rowe might be a little young to sit through the whole thing," Alan says, "You and the guys will have to help me so we don't lose the girls."

"Chaddy, you excited to see the show?" I ask. He grins, "I know how excited you are, so I'm excited for you. Plus, I love the soundtrack." I giggle a bit, "Yeah, I know, it's the best thing ever."
