Hello again!  Halloween is just a few days away, so I'm working on a Halloween special.  Until then, here's a little something I whipped up.  Enjoy!

You moved a strand of your hair behind your ear to keep it out of your eyes as you cooked lunch for the boys. You hummed quietly as you swayed slightly, zoning out absentmindedly as you waited for the last burger to finish cooking. Dean had begged you to make your delicious burgers while Sam politely asked for a salad instead.

You had just finished putting everything for the last burger together when you heard the rustling of wings. You looked behind you to see none other than Castiel.

"Hey, Cas! What's up?" you asked as you began to set the table where he was currently sitting.

"Um...the sky...?" he replied, a little unsure and quite baffled.

You giggled. "No, silly! I meant what's going on? Why are you here? Did Dean call you?"

The angel nodded. "Sam and Dean have found another case, and they need my help."

"Ah," you said. "The one with the group of demons. Yep, they're gonna need all the help they can get! I'm coming with you guys, too."

You continued to set things on the table and bustle around the kitchen. When Castiel was still silent after a few minutes, you turned back to him and just stared.

Castiel was gazing at you with an unreadable expression, a small gleam in his eyes. He just stared up at you, gazing into your eyes.

You couldn't help but blush as your feelings for him grew.  You shifted awkwardly and flicked your gaze to the floor for a moment before looking back up and asking nervously, "I-is there something on my face...?"

He seemed to snap out of his stupor as your question broke the silence. He shifted slightly in his seat before replying, "U-uh, no. I was just–"

"Yummy! I smell burgers!"

Of course Dean had to interrupt...

You and the boys had just gotten back from the hunt.  You four were quite tired and messy.  Sam and Dean told you goodnight, which you returned, and went their separate ways for the evening.  You made your way to your bathroom to take a shower.

After doing so, you wrapped a towel around yourself and walked to your bedroom.  You fished your pajamas out of a drawer and dropped your towel to put them on when you heard the familiar sound of rustling wings.

You turned around and gasped when you saw Castiel standing in the middle of your bedroom.  You immediately dropped your clothes from your hands in order to pick up the towel to wrap it around you.  Your cheeks were flushed from embarrassment when you looked up at him.

He stared at you, not saying a word as he gave you a slightly confused look.

"C-Cas," you stuttered, "you scared me!  Um, could you...give me some warning next time?"

He stayed silent for a moment before nodding.  "Yes, of course.  Sorry."

You stood there awkwardly for a minute before speaking up, "So...was there something you needed or...?"

Castiel took a step forward as he replied, "I just wanted to bid you goodnight."

You couldn't help but smile at his answer.  "Oh, right.  Goodnight."

You expected the angel to vanish with the sound of his wings, but he didn't do such a thing.  He stood where he was, silently watching you, which started to make you anxious.

"Uh, Cas?" you asked tentatively.  "Why are you...staring at me like that?"

He tilted his head and answered your question with his own, "Is it not customary for humans to admire something beautiful?"

His reply took you back by surprise.  "You...you think I'm beautiful?"

"Of course," Castiel said as he took a few more steps forward.  By now you two were only a few feet apart.  "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable.  I was only trying to admire you from afar."

Your heart swelled with joy at the thought of Castiel returning your feelings.  You smiled and took a couple of steps forward, making your toes touch the ends of his shoes.  You kissed his cheek softly before pulling back and saying, "I like you too, Cas."

A small smile spread across his lips.
