You were a shadow
Lonely and unkempt hair
Your eyes were ink deep
Your mind played games
In every single hour of the day
You stood out in a crowd
But you disappeared just as easily
You were fading
Day after day
Night after night
You lived like a ghost
Your eyes saw things more than I ever could
Your voice echo in every matter left
And you were a shadow
That follows every step of the way
And I saw you
Saw you walk past me
And I was just a shadow
Lonely yet surrounded
My eyes were shallow
My mind played a part
Yet you were still the shadow
I'll never forget
You're a shadow
A ghost in a place full of us
Yet I was just another one
A shadow waiting for a shade
And you just walked away
Into the oblivion of your kind
I'm lost listening to your voice
Even though you don't speak
We are shadows
In different realms
Different worlds
But we are still shadows to each other
You were a shadow
Without a doubt
But I saw you
And even if you saw me as another
Know that I still see you
I love your shadow
And I wished you loved mine too.
