With every turn of a page
Begins a new life
A song that speaks volumes
Not of happiness but nostalgiaWith every turn of words
Begins new emotions
A millennia of ever changing shades
Colors that brighten the dayWith every little punctuation
A piece of the puzzle is solved
Only to be questioned again
Through darkness or rainWith every detail
Builds memories from the first
To the edge of the earth
A fading waterfall to oblivionWith every turn
Lies so many secrets
Of late night coffees
To early mornings of splattered paintingsA little bit of everything
The turns become slightly slower
As the world brightens to dawn
The book closesAnd the pages stop turning
Emotions collide within
Pieces of paper scraps naming so many events
Written over and over again
Syncing with the heart beatWith every little comma
A full stop
A hyphen
A spaceBegins a new life
Through gray lights of nothingness
A cry in the wind blows away
The breath gets caught
Only to find a wave of new sadness wash overThe sentences tainted black
Somehow
Printed wrong
His words echo like waves crashing in a shellThe exact words of wisdom
Lay through the grass
As sand dunes stand tall
The facts drownWith every new paragraph
Words build
And the ones left behind
Erode like emotions doHis last words were never finished
Much less forgotten
Never a memory
Or a thoughtHe taints the skyline anew
Just to cling on until
A new page
And then anotherTurns
The pages keep her in a cycle of violence against reality.
It's her world now.
