Janice and I board the boat and I breathed in deeply I could already feel the anxiety and the motion sickness starting to ease its way in. "You'll be fine Hunter." Janice told me and I kissed her cheek slowly.
"Yeah I know. But you know how I am with boats." I told her.
"Yeah I know they scare the living shit out of you... I'm sorry I changed the tickets on you without thinking.. I was just so excited."
"It's ok I'll survive."
"I'm sure you will. Now stop whining let's celebrate I never been on a big ass boat like this before and we just got a new job that will change both of our careers so let's do something."
"Like what? We're stuck on a freaking boat."
"Want to play hide and go seek?"
"What are we five no let's find a bar and drink it."
"Seriously?"
"Yup.. We all know how you get when you're drunk and I'm in need of that right about now."
"We will see about that." she laughed.
"So what room is our's?"
"Um where are the sleeping quarters?"
"How am I supposed to know?"
"Attitude much?"
"What I wasn't."
"Just leave me alone Hunter."
"What did I do?"
"Hey missy do you work here?" she asked as a tall, thin, blonde, girl wearing white clothing walked past us.
"Yes actually I'm the captain what can I help you with?" the captain asked.
"Yeah um hi why is there a girl captain?"
"I don't know that's just my job."
"I see that more as a man's job."
"That's what mom says too but I get to travel around the world and get paid endless amounts of money more than an average amount for a captain so yeah I guess I'm doing my job better than a man."
"That or it's because you're a women and they think you're cute."
"Easy." I told Janice.
"What do you guys need?" the captain asked.
"The rooms where would that be?" I asked her.
"Oh it's just down the hall."
"That hall." I pointed to the door's.
"You know what I should just show you so you don't get lost. This boat is pretty big I have gotten lost many times." she smiled.
"I think you should."
"May I see your tickets?"
"Yes ma'am." Our hands touched for a moment and she smiled at me. I cleared my throat and I handed her the tickets.
"Oh! This is just down the hall so sadly we don't have to walk too far."
"So how did you get into boating?" Janice asked.
"Oh my ex got me into it actually... Funny story I got mad at him and I crushed his boat and then I was like you know what up until that point it was fun... I really love the wind in my hair."
"So do dogs." she mumbled and I hit her in the side.
"Be nice." I said softly so she could only hear me.
