Chapter 45

I was watching from behind the stage,  as Ellen talked with Chris. They were both so funny, and I was really excited to see how it would turn out.

They talked about Jurassic World and Guardians Of The Galant, for a short while, before Ellen changed the subject.

"So, Chris. You just got engaged." Ellen started, making the whole crowd cheer and clap.

"Yeah. I did." Chris chuckled.

"Tell me about her." Ellen said.

"We met on the set of Parks and Recreation, where she was running around, trying to keep everyone happy." Chris chuckled.

"As an assistant?" Ellen asked.

"Yeah." Chris answered.

"She's just amazing. She's sweet, she's caring. And she great with Jack." Chris said, before turning his eyes to the screen behind him, where a picture of us were shown.

"Aww." The while crowd said, making me chuckle lightly.

"Well, You seem happy." Ellen said looking at the picture of me and Chris together.

"Yeah, we are." Chris said smiling so happily, it made my heart flutter.

"Melissa is with us today, so let us bring her in." Ellen said, making the crowd clap.

I swear my heart stopped from her words. But before I could give it some thought, I was dragged along by one of the staff.

I was almost pushed onto the stage.

So many thoughts went through my mind , as I walked to the chair, they brought out for me, while the whole crowd was clapping. Luckily I dressed really nice, this morning.

Chris smiled reassuringly at me, as I sat down next to him. He immediately grabbed my hand, just to let me know, that he would be there for me, all the way.

The clapping finally quiet down.

"So you two met on the set of Parks and Recreation. Was it love at first sight?" Ellen asked.

Chris and I shared a look, before he answered.

"For me, it was." He answered with a silly smile.

Ellen looked at me, waiting for my answer.

"I guess it was." I started, smiling softly.

"I had a crush on Chris, since I watched Parks and Recreation for the first time, and he's just an amazing person." I admitted.

"Aww, honey. You never told me that." Chris said, making the crowd laugh.

"Melissa, how was it to work at a set, like Parks and Recreation? And how was it to work with your crush?" Ellen asked.

"Surreal. It was like a dream, coming true. I guess every girl, has a dream, about meeting their celebrity crush." I said, smiling widely.

"And now you're engaged to him." Ellen added.

"Yeah. Can you believe it?" I said excitedly, making the whole crowd laugh.

"It was a really great experience, working on the set of Parks and Recreation.
It was so exciting, and the whole cast is just amazing, and so much fun to be around." I continued.

"What about you and Anna?" Ellen asked me.

I thought for a moment, before answering.

"Anna is great. We get along really well." I answered.

"Yeah. They should get married." Chris joked.

I chuckled from Chris's comment, before I continued.

"We had a lunch a couple of times, and she's actually really supportive of me and Chris. It makes things a lot easier, also with Jack." I explained.

"Chris mentioned that you are great with Jack." Ellen said questioningly.

"Yeah." I said smiling at Chris.

"He's so adorable and funny. I love spending time with him." I chuckled.

"Have you thought about having kids?" Ellen asked, making Chris and I share a look. A huge smile spread across both of our faces.

"Actually... We're already expecting." Chris said smirking, his eyes never leaving mine.

The whole crowd cheered happily, making both Chris and I laugh.

"A baby announcement on tv!" Ellen exclaimed excitedly.

"How far along are you?" She asked.

"Only 12 weeks, so it's really early." I said, looking into the crowd.

I sighed relieved as we finally got off the stage.

"You did amazing!" Chris praised, as we walked hand in hand.

"Thank you. I thought I was going to die." I chuckled.
