We (Amber and I) was still standing outside the club while listening to music and talking, when our friends finally came out chatting and drunk or either high. Like always after the club; I would drive Shawn, Ginger and or DJ home. While April or someone sober (Amber) would drive the rest home.
"Oh thank goodness y'all didn't kill each other." April stepped up to us high and drunk; which means something was going on at home for her to go all out. I have to ask her when she's sober. "Come on Amber, I wanna sleep."
I huffed as I watched the smart woman being dragged away by our friend. "You hit yet." Unfortunately Shawn was some what sober when he asked the question; which means if I say no, he'll nag my ear off. If I say yes, he'll talk my ear off.
"Nigga, get in the car with your drunk ass." I opened the driver side door for myself.
"I ain't drunk. I'm just under the influence, that's all." He responded.
"Same damn thing." He stumbled into the back seat and knocked his head on the ceiling of his car as he slide over to the passenger side. I was actually hoping he'll sit in the passenger seat instead of DJ; who was sober by the way.
The car ride was silent when we left the club, that was until DJ wanted to talk. "So Amber. She's nice."
I gripped the stirring wheel. "Yes. She is."
"I know you hate me and all. Especially after you who shall not be named. But temptation took over."
I huffed. "Temptation my ass."
"I'm sorry man." He said.
Was he expecting me to forgive his ass. For sleeping with the woman I use to love, now I despise her- both of them.
"Come on, bros before hoes." Shawn's drunk self said.
I sucked me teeth. "Aight. I forgive you, but I'm still pissed." I admit.
"I'll take that. And don't worry, I won't sleep with Amber. She apparently doesn't like guys like me."
"Like who? Fuck boys." Shawn laughed at his own joke. I even laughed.
