I sit on my couch, rubbing my face then the back of my neck as I think of how I'm going to find this girl Harriet. She's at Club X, but who would be stupid enough to go back to the first place where people is going to search for you. Shawn was currently sitting on the lazy boy watching television; worried free.
"Okay, why aren't you worried?" I ask as I looked at him with my eyes popping out of my skull."You're not going to get shot AJ. Why are you worried?"
"Because-"
"Because what? You're scared AJ-"
"I'm not scared!" I yelled then sighed to calm myself down. "I'm just worried." Truthfully, I'm not really a scaring type. I never show fear nor have for anything, especially something like this. But I'm worried for some odd reason, I know I'll find Harriet and get the money back, but-
"Because you're worried that Amber will find about your true job and leave you. Amber won't find out, unless you tell her. Trust me." He picked up the remote and changed the channel.
"I'm going to sleep." I announced before walking into my room and closing the door with a slam. I rubbed my eyes and the bridge of my nose as I laid down on my bed with a sigh.

I picked up my phone to call the first person I will really disappoint this week. Since I only have a week and a half to find this girl, in order to save myself from going to the hospital, I can't go to California for Malaya's birthday that's in two days. I already shipped the shoes over to her with some cash in the right shoe. I hope she can forgive me after this.
"Why do you keep calling me at seven in the morning?" Malaya asked.
"It's ten in the morning here." I said with a chuckle to ease the mood.
"Well the time here, in California, it's seven in the morning. I have class in three hours and you're ruining my sleep."
I sighed and rubbed the back of my neck. "I just want to say I'm sorry."
Malaya groaned, I soon heard shuffling in the back ground. "Oh no, did you get arrested?"
I chuckled lightly. "Of course not. I-I can't make it to California this week." Soon there was silence on the other line, I knew she was not happy with my sudden news, so I decided to explain myself. "I have to find someone for my job, so I won't get bull-"
"It's okay AJ." Malaya cuts me off. Her voice was soft and understanding, like she was happy and sad at the same time. "Sometimes we have to make sacrifices. Besides, now I can go to frat parties all week without you being on my back all the time." She chuckled to ease the mood.
I chuckled as well. "I shipped over the shoes and put a little surprise in the right shoe for you." I informed.
"Okay, I have to go. Bye."
"Bye." I ended the call and set my phone on the bed before standing up to start my long dad.
After doing my morning routine, I decided to skip breakfast and officially start my day off by going to Club X; where Harriet works. I guess starting there is a good idea, maybe I can get some information out of her co worker or something.
"Um I haven't seen Harriet since last week." A blonde said while looking at me up and down. I was currently at the club and asking questions, but so far all I got was 'Harriet has not been here since last week' or 'I've seen her once when she grabbed her paycheck, last week.' Basically Harriet went missing before she stole Gregg's key and the money.
Shit!
