Oh god.. nooo.. my first thoughts as I wake up. I open my eyes to an empty bed.
"Michael?" I call out. I hear a muffled 'yeah' from the other room. I hear quick footsteps coming towards the bedroom.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" He yells, holding a plate of food and flowers. I sit up and smile at him.
"Awh you didn't have to do that." I complain.
"No really.. why did you? It's just a birthday."
"BECAUSE I LOVE YOU AND I LOVE BIRTHDAYS." He's almost screaming by now. He sets the plate and flowers on my bedside table and flops down on the bed.
"So how's Jakota doing?" I ask, grabbing the toast and taking a bite.
"Oh he's good. Em took him to the park.. because ya know. It's 12:30 in the afternoon."
"WHAT?! Oh my God, why did you let me sleep in?" I shoot out of bed, making him chuckle. He rolls onto his back.
"Because you needed it? Jakota hasn't let you get a full night's sleep in like three months. You look like shit." He says with a grin.
"Oh thanks, babe. That makes me feel great about myself." I roll my eyes, pulling on jeans.
"When's Em gonna come back? Did he already eat? Was he wet this morning? I nee-"
"Babe, babe. It's all taken care of." He smiles, leaning on his elbow.
"He slept all night." I turn to face him.
"Really?! Oh my baby!" I squeal, making him chuckle again.

I get dressed, style my hair and take another piece of toast from the plate.
"Are you not gonna eat my breakfast? I made it.." He sticks out his lower lip.
"Babe. These are from IHOP." I roll my eyes.
"Fuck. Well, I tried." He gives me a small smile.
"Michael Gordon Clifford, if there is a huge mess in the kitchen I swear to God-" He hops up off the bed and jogs out of the room.
"Uuuhh.. hold on." He says, running out the door. I just shake my head and walk out.
"Fucking hell." I mumble, looking at the mess; pans on the counter, dishes in the sink, food all over everywhere, Michael frantically trying to clean it all at once."

I grab my coffee and sit on the couch, scrolling through Instagram. My cousin posted a picture of Jakota on the swing.
"Oooohh.. my baby. Look at him, he loves it." I smile. After a few minutes of bangs, clanks, and grunts, Michael finally slumps on the couch next to me.
"Okay. It's clean.." He sighs, throwing his arm over my shoulder. I rest my head on his chest. We sit there, enjoying the silence. No crying. No screaming. Then Em bursts through the door, holding a screaming Jakota.
"WHAT HAPPENED?!" I shoot off the couch, grabbing Jakota to sooth him.
"A dog barked at him." Em huffs, setting the huge diaper bag on the table.

~two months later~

"I can't believe this is happening." I mumble as I put our pictures in a box.
"I don't want to move. I love this place." I complain, looking over at Michael.
"I know babe, but the guys aren't gonna fit here." He gives me a weak smile.
"But so much happened here. This was our first place together." Michael comes over and gives me a hug in the middle of our near-empty house.

We pack the remainder of our stuff, with the help of Em and the rest of the boys, and get in the truck and car and head to our new house. A new adventure. New house, new life. I smile to myself, driving down the freeway.
