We were still in the hidden room, looking at the newspaper hologram on the wall.
"'Flyra missing, vanishes in crisis'," Cisco told us.
( read from the main article. "'After an epic street battle with the Reverse-Flash, our city's very own heroes disappeared in an explosion of light.' Guys, look at the date."
Barry looked at the date. "April 25, 2024. Guys, when we fought the Reverse-Flash at Christmas, he said that we'd be fighting for centuries."
"Wait," Caitlin told us. "You can't really think that this is from... the future."
"That would mean, Dr. Wells, whoever he is, is also--" Cisco started.
"From the future," I finished.
"I have to say, I'm really digging the brighter Flash suit and more detailed Pyra suit," Cisco told us. He pointed at the white circle with a yellow lightning strike symbol on the Flash suit and the flaming star symbol on the the Pyra symbol. "And the symbols, that's dope. Wait a second. Suppose we now change your suits. Will it be because we got the idea from this picture? That would mean we're living in a causal nexus. Wow. This is so trippy. Like 'Marty and the Polaroid' trippy."
"Look at the name on the byline," Caitlin told us.
We looked at the name on the byline.

"Ay caramba," Cisco told us.
The newspaper hologram disappeared.
A female, robotic voice came from the room somewhere. "Spanish, ancient language of the Latino people."
"Uh-uh," Cisco told us. "What the hell was that?"
"Is someone here?" Barry asked. "Hello?"
A hologram of a mannequin's head appeared, her lips moving. "Good evening, Barry Allen."
Barry looked around in confusion. "Uh.... hi. You--You know who I am?"
"Yes," the hologram answered. "Barry Allen. Director of Central City Police Department. CSI Division."
"Director?" Barry repeated.
"I guess you get a promotion," I told him.
"Also known as the Flash," the hologram told us. "Founding member of--"
"What are you?" I asked.
"I'm Gideon, Vera," the hologram answered. "An interactive artificial consciousness."
"AI," I told them. I looked at Gideon. "You know me?"
"Of course," Gideon answered.
"You know Dr. Wells?" I asked.
"Yes," Gideon answered.
"Do you know who he really is?" I asked.
"I don't understand the question," Gideon told us.
Barry stammered nervously. "What is he doing here? Why did he come here?"
"To kill Barry and Vera," Gideon answered.
Cisco's phone buzzed. He took it out. "Wells is in the building."
"How do you know that?" Caitlin asked.
"I put a tracker on his wheelchair," Cisco answered. "Which, if we're wrong about him and he is paralyzed, I'm going to hell for that one. He's in the Cortex. Ask questions fast."
