"Are you ready?" He asked me, making eye contact with me again.
"Not one bit, let's go." I smiled, as Edward led the way up the porch steps.

He opened the clear glass door and I stepped through, my eyes taking in the surroundings. It was very beautiful and modern looking, and very open. I smiled at Edward before people started to enter the room. The first to enter was a couple, the man was big - muscled like a serious weight lifter, and he had dark curly hair. I noticed the dimples that adorned his cheeks as he smiled a huge set of teeth at me, the woman holding his hand was one of the most beautiful woman I have ever laid eyes upon; she was statuesque, with a fit body that looked like it belonged on a Sports Illustrated swimsuit issued magazine. Her hair was gentle waves of golden that stopped to the middle of her back, just standing near her made me feel insecure at my looks. She didn't smile as large as her mate, but she was smiling softly at me, almost like she was apologizing in a silent way. I could tell from the descriptions that Edward had given me before, that this was Rosalie and Emmett.

The next couple to practically dance into the room I could immediately tell was Alice and Jasper; Alice called out my name and let go of Jasper's hand to glide over to me before wrapping me in a tight hug, I had to let go of Edwards hand so the hug wouldn't be awkward, and I felt a rush of calmness wash over my body, relieving the tension and awkwardness. I could tell that was Jasper's doing, and smiled thankfully over to him where he returned the gesture. Alice let go and went back over to Jasper's side, grabbing his hand as Edward grabbed mine again. I took the short time to study their looks, Jasper was tall and lean, but still muscular; he had honey blond hair almost the same color as Rosalie's. Alice was pixie-like, thin with small features, and hair that was a short deep black.

The last couple that walked into the room I immediately knew as Esme and Carlisle, the adopted parents for all necessary things. Carlisle looked younger then I thought; he had blonde hair and he was extremely handsome. Esme had the same beautiful features as the rest of them, and something about her heart-shaped face and long caramel colored hair reminded me of the silent-movie era. They smiled at me in welcome and I returned the smile, finally meeting the family of the man I was beginning to really like. Esme looked down at Edward and I's hands before looking back up at Edward, grinning hugely at him, if I didn't know better, it would've looked like she was crying; but vampires can't cry.

"Everyone, this is Bella." Edward introduced me to the family who I've heard everything about. Everyone was smiling at me, and I returned the gesture happily. "It's a pleasure to know you." I said to them, I couldn't stop smiling as I was pulled into a hug at all different angles. Something about the atmosphere here made me feel safe, welcome, comfortable. I hoped that things would go great between Edward and I, so that I will not find myself alone for the rest of eternity. Everyone was introducing themselves to me and I saw in the corner of my eye Esme looking at Edward, she wasn't saying anything but by the smile she was giving and the head gestures he was making, I could tell he was listening to her thoughts of what she was telling him.

I focused back into the room and examined my surroundings once more, noticing that Emmett and Rosalie was now gone. "I'll see you later, Bella!" Alice called as her and Jasper left the house, probably to go hunt as I had noticed that their eye color was turning dark. My eyes wandered to a beautiful instrument on the platform by the door, and I ran my fingers gently over the ivory keys of the grand piano. Esme noticed my distraction, and came over to me.

"Do you play?" She asked, causing me to look in her direction.
"No, but it is beautiful. Is it yours?"
"Oh, no. It's Edward's, he didn't tell you he was musical?"
"The subject came up, although he's never showed me."
"Edward, play for her?" Esme offered and I looked over to Edward, who was smiling at me. He walked over and took a seat on the bench, pulling me down so I sat beside him as he began to play. His fingers flowed across the keys and the room was filled with such a beautiful tune, and I couldn't help my mouth drop slightly at the magnificent sound.
