Closing my eyes and hoping
That I'll wake up and say I was just dreaming
Because I'm not ready for what tomorrow will bring
I miss you and what's new?
Your memory is in my mind like a tattoo
No matter how hard I try to accept what's true
I could never ever forget you
You left me broken and crying
Wishing you'd be strong and keep trying
But I realized you should get going
I know you'd be happy even though I'll be breaking
Yes it hurts to see you leave me
But we'll meet again don't you see?
It will take awhile but I guarantee
We'll have each other cause we're meant to be
Now all I can say is goodbye
I know you're watching me from the sky
And as the day goes by
I know someday we'll together fly high
