The Spark

A boy around the age of 14 was walking around a small town.He saw an old man and he gave some bread then said "I'm sorry,all I have is some bread."The old man smiled and replied "You are very a kind boy,thank you,even if it is just some bread."The boy went off then he heard a girl screaming loudly.He ran towards her and saw the girl stuck on a tree with her kite.

The boy thought "It's stormy today,she'll get hit by lightning!"He quickly climbed up the tree and he brought her down.Before she could thank him,the boy climbed up the tree again,this time to grab the kite.When he grabbed the kite,lightning struck him and he fell off the tree.The old man stood up and chanted something.

A flash of light.That's what the boy saw for the first few seconds after his fall.His vision cleared up and he looked at the old man and asked "H-how did I survive?"The old man took off his beard revealing that he was actually a Sage.He said to the boy "You,who is like lightning,bright and quick to think,I saved you because I saw your abilities and kind heart."The boy was confused and asked again "What do you mean?"The Sage replied "The world is in danger.I chose you to wield a great power,which by chance also gave you control over electricity.You are the warrior of light and I shall train you for the impending doom."The boy was still confused "Me?Save the world?How can I do that?"

After he said that he noticed his hand.It was wrapped in electricity.The boy yelled "Wow!I can do this?!"The Sage smiled and said"What is your name?"The boy replied "Sparky.But if since I'm gonna help save the world,I'm gonna be a hero,so call me Sparkman!"The Sage nodded and opened up a portal and he walked in along with Sparky.
