I was in pain, just outside the breech. I felt a breeze as Barry sped in.
"Chandler! Oh my god!" He yelled, "Cisco, get in here!"
I heard Cisco sprint in. Barry was in his flash suit. His hair was wild and messy.
"Barry, what, what happened yesterday?" I asked, weakly.
"Chandler, you were taken from your apartment, last weekend."
I then screamed, a good scream. Barry held me tight as the others rushed over.
"It's okay, it's okay! You're okay now. It's over." Barry comforted. But he was wrong. It wasn't over, it was just beginning.
...
I walked into the cortex the next day with a tray of to go cups from jitters. Barry, Kaitlin Jo, Iris, and Cisco were standing around the desk with another man I didn't see at first. When I saw him, I stopped dead in my tracks and dropped the coffee I was holding. Harrison Wells was standing in the cortex. If this was earth one Harrison, we were dead, and if this was earth two Harrison, we were even more dead.
"What did I do to offend this one?" Wells asked, playing the part well.
"Nothing!" I rambled, "I'm just surprised to see a dead man in the middle of my work space."
"Chan, this is earth two Harrison Wells" said Barry. My brain had no time to register the nickname.
"Hello, Chandler." Wells looked strait through me.
I must admit, this was not my best moment. I was wearing a S.T.A.R. Labs sweatshirt and sweat pants. I was also standing in a puddle of coffee.
Kaitlin came over to me and lead me to the desk. Way to go on composure, Chan. I thought.
Wells mouthed, 'bathroom now!'
"Do you have a bathroom?" Wells asked, "I need to use it."
"I can show him, I'm okay." I said, leading earth two Wells to the bathrooms.
But we didn't go to the bathroom. I led him straight to the basement.
"Leave me and my friends alone. I'll do what Zoom wants, but I don't need you guys coming and monitoring my every move."
"To your surprise, miss Perry, my business here has no regard with you. Zoom sent me here to find Conner, who after returning you decided to make a break for it."
"So, let him go, I'm sure zoom can go without one of his little underlings." I spat.
Suddenly, I saw true fear in Wells's eyes.
"You don't understand, Conner is just as dangerous as Zoom, maybe more. Zoom was holding on to him by a very thin thread."
"Why is Conner so powerful?" I asked, "why does he make Zoom tick?"
"When the particle accelerator exploded on your earth, your Conner died. On my earth, he was given the ability to steal other people's energy. That also gave him the power to take power from other metas."
"So your saying, Conner can gain the abilities of other meta humans?" I asked.
"I'm afraid so, and he is a danger to us all."
"Well what the hell are we waiting for? We have to tell the others!" I practically screamed.
"Miss Perry! Do not let your fear cloud your reason. If you are to successfully get rid of Mr. Allen's speed he can't very well defend himself from a meta human like that. And Barry does not seem like one to give up, speed or no speed."
I had completely forgotten about my deadline. My time was dwindling down to a week. I'm no scientist, so this wasn't going to be easy if I wanted my friends to live.
Wells seemed to read my thoughts, "Zoom may be a monster poisoning the multiverse but he does have reason. Tell him your plans and he will give you more time."
"What go now?" I asked.
"Yes. Time is of the essence. Use the breech and I will tell the others you went home to get the coffee off your clothes."
I jumped into the breech. The second time in a week I went traveling between worlds. Life was getting more complicated than I could have ever imagined. I had to rob the guy I love of the thing that matters most to him, stop a demon from killing everyone I care about, and no plans whatsoever. I'm screwed.
