~Chapter 13; Jealous Much?!?
"Who's that?" I asked nervously.
"I'll find out." Sammy said, making her way down the hall towards Harry and whoever that girl was.
I followed after her quickly, trying to slow her down. "Sammy wait!" I tried, but we had already reached them.
"Hi Harry," Sammy said with a smile.
"Hey," he responded, then locking eyes with me. The corners of his mouth turned up and he grinned at me. "Hi Mia."
I made a quick wave and smiled back at him, awkwardly scratching my head.
"So, who's this?" Sammy asked, reffering to the girl standing so close to Harry.
"This is Madeline." Harry said.
"Hi," she mumbled, curling a piece of her hair on her finger.
"Hi, I'm Sammy!" she said with a bright smile, putting out her hand. Madeline shook it awkwardly giving us both weird looks.
"Mia's my step-sister." Harry told Madeline.
"Well...not yet." I corrected him.
"Our parents are engaged."
I examined Madeline, with her blonde hair and slender body. Sure she was fit, but Harry and her would make a terrible couple. Did he like blondes? Did he prefer her over me? What if he dated her because the thing we have going on is wrong and he just hasn't realized it yet?
"Earth to Mia!" Sammy said waving her hands in front of me.
"Sorry," I mumbled. The bell rang, signaling class was approaching. "Nice meeting you Madeline."
