Chapter 33; I don't wanna hide
Mia's POV


The long weekend ended up turning out good since Harry gets to stay with us, but now we have to go back to school. There's only a month and a half left and then Harry graduates. I wish I didn't have to go through my senior year without him.

"Ready?" Harry asked wrapping his arm around my waist. I nodded my head and he opened up the door for me to step out first. I mumbled a 'thanks' and got into his car.

"I'm glad we don't have to hide anymore," he said taking my hand in mine as we drove down the road.

"Well we can't just tell people that we're dating." I said.

"And why not?"

"Because," I replied, "we were supposed to be step-siblings. They're going to think we're freaks."

"I don't care what they think." Harry argued.

"I don't either but-"

"Yes, you do. Are you embarrassed to be with me?!"

"Harry!" I said, this was getting out of hand.

He looked at me, and his eyes softened. He put his head down for a second and pushed his curls to the side.

"I'm sorry," he mumbled.

"It's fine." I replied, crossing my arms. "Don't ever think something like that, I've had a crush on you for years."

"I know. I don't think that- I just don't see why we can't tell people."

"They'll think we're weird, we were pratically siblings."

"But we never were, and we're not going to be. Things didn't seem to click between them, but they are with us."

"Just don't tell anyone yet, please." I pleaded. "We can't just come out like that.."

"We can if we want."

"Harry."

"Fine." he answered as we pulled into the parking lot. He squeezed my hand before pulling it away from mine and taking the keys out of the car. "I'll see you later."

I nodded and we both got out of the car.

I kind of understand why Mia doesn't want to tell people, but I don't want to keep kissing her in private. I'm gonna have to find a way around it and I know just the plan.

I looked around the hallway, scanning for someone I knew couldn't keep their mouth shut.

"Krystal!" I said, walking towards the light haired girl. She was a small girl, our height difference causing her to have to look up at me. "Can you do something for me?"

She raised her eyebrows at me, "Like what?" she said, chewing on her gum.

"Let everyone know that Mia and I's parents broke up." I replied.

"Why does everyone need to know that?" she asked.

"Will you do it or not?" I asked, ignoring her question.

"Yes, I'll do it." she said flatly.

"Thanks." I said, making a  small wave as I walked away from her.
