~~ Your POV ~~
We had just arrived at the guild, where I was supposed to talk to Master Makarov. The guild seemed to be anxious, but not because I was there.
"Ah. (Y/n), so glad you could make it." Makarov said from the stage.
"Gramps, why is everyone on edge?" Laxus asked.
"Sabertooth." Was all Makarov said, and Laxus tensed up, as if this word mentioned something bad.
"Sabertooth?" I decided to ask, to get clarification.
"Remember the 'wolves you wanted to "run" with yesterday?" Laxus spoke, practically emotionless.
"Yeah..... Are they Sabertooth?" I asked, possibly putting the pieces together, and he nodded.
"Sabertooth wants you." The guild master said to me. Not anyone else, but to me. I had a horrible feeling now. One worse then the first night they attacked. And one even worse then being thrown into a guild full of vampires.
"Uh........ And why do they want me?" I asked trying to sound brave, yet I still backed up into Laxus, looking for some kind of safety.
"You're apparently the mate to their leader." Makarov replied. 'What?! Why would I be the mate to their leader?!' I started to shake, weather it was out of fear or anger, I didn't know. "Shhhh. (Y/n), calm down. I said I wouldn't let anyone hurt you, and I won't. You'll be staying right here with me." I heard a voice in my head. It sounded a lot like Laxus' voice, but I wasn't sure. I turned around to face him, only to have him look down at me, making me feel smaller then I already was when in his presence.
"Yes. It was me who spoke. Though I'm quite surprised that you can even hear me." He seemed to answer my question before I even asked him.
'Wait, what do you mean you're surprised?'
"Normally it would have been harder for me to talk to you like this. But I guess that some circumstances has allowed me to freely talk to you telepathicly."
'Oh.' I responded and then I heard someone clear their throat. I immediately looked to who had made the noise to find out that the guild master was looking at us with an eyebrow raised.
"I have a feeling that Sabertooth is wrong. You're not their masters mate. But you are perhaps Laxus' instead...." He looked like he was debating something.
"Huh?" I wasn't comprehending what he said at all, or maybe there was something preventing me from understanding.
"Gramps, you're crazy. I don't think that's true." Laxus sounded as if he was on the border of trying to stay calm, and completely flipping out.
"What can't be true?" I looked up at Laxus questioningly, and he seemed to flinch back slightly startled.
"Ok...... So maybe you aren't so crazy after all....." Laxus seemed to say while looking still slightly startled.
"Finally he gets it!" I looked at who spoke to find a brunet holding a barrel of what I hopped was alcohol, and not blood.
"Really Cana? Your drinking already?" Laxus said, snapping back to his original self.
'Uh.... Laxus..... what is she drinking? Its not blood, is it?'
"Yes. It is actually." He responded and I couldn't help put to take a step away from Cana, making a disgusted face. Then I heard chuckling. I looked behind me to find Laxus seemingly trying not to laugh. That was when I huffed, eating a "what did I do?" Look from him.
'Lier. Its not blood. If it was, you wouldn't be laughing.'
"Your right. I couldn't help but to do that. I wanted to see what your reaction was. It wasn't as funny as I had hopped, but it was still pretty funny." He grinned and I huffed again.
"I really do think the master is right about you two." A bluenet said in front of us, who was followed by a guy with black hair and metal piercings in his arms and ears and eyebrows. To be honest, he was quite intimidating. Out of instincts, I hid behind Laxus, and hid myself under his coat.
"(Y/n), you don't need to be scared of metal face. He's practically harmless." I felt someone pat my head, and I poked my head out from under Laxus' coat, and looked back at "metal face", though I was still intimidated by him.
"Hi! My name is Levy, and that's Gajeel." The bluenet said, and "Gajeel" just nodded.
"Nice to meet you two. So uh.... what did you mean when you said that the master was right about us?"
"Well, Laxus is special because he can reach other vampires minds and talk to them. When the normal vampire can't read other vampires minds, and can only catch glimpses of human thoughts. But even so, he shouldn't really be able to talk to you through your mind, unless, you two are supposed to be mates." She replied matter of factly, and I just stared back at her with a "are you smoking something" look, causing Laxus to chuckle and Levy to huff at him.
"Well anyways, let's get back to plan-" The guild master started before we heard a wolf howling right outside the guild doors.
