Chp. 2- He's Heartbroken

The next morning when I woke up, Jay was not in sight.

This is a good thing, this way I don’t have to talk to him or see him. So I get up from my bed and walk over to the bathroom, brush my teeth and wash my face. I put my hair in a bun, because it’s really hot, even with all the air conditioners on.

I go back to my room and make my bed. When I finish with that, I log on to my Facebook, I have a message from my brother.

Hey lil sis, srry 4 not tellin u bout my vacay with Miranda. Well really it's not so much of a vacay bc I have 2 have to start work in a week, my boss told me i have 2 work down here for a year and some, but since it's my anni with Miranda next week, Miranda and i decided to come earlier and have sort of a little get away. Since ur 18 i trust u enough 2 b home alone, but just in case u ever get hurt, i'm havin my friend jay take care of u. love u lil sis, take care <3

Ugh what is wrong with him?! I could be living with my friend instead of being stuck at home being taken cared of by a jerk.

My response to this is, Terence I am angry as hell with u, y would u leave me with ur friend, y’know he’s my least favorite. y couldnt u leave me with 1 of ur girl friends or let me live with 1 of my friends while ur gone. u must honestly trust this jerk to leave him takin care of me. thnx a lot big bro. love u 2, but im still mad at u, and say hi to Miranda for me plz. congrats on ur anii, call me when u have thechance, i miss u.

After I send the message to Terence, I check all of my notifications, and my friend Blake messaged me, she wants me to go over, but I told her that maybe she should come over instead. She agreed and said she'll be here around eleven, which would give me enough time to clean the house a little. I log off after and I head down to the kitchen, I find Jay's face inside of a cereal bowl. Ha-ha 'I so have to take a picture of this' I thought as I prepare to take a picture, when I was done taking the picture I served myself a bowl of fruit salad I had prepared, when I finished serving myself a bowl, I put the rest in the fridge. I sat at the breakfast table, I was half way done with my breakfast when Jay woke up and looked up to see me eating. I finished swallowing the piece of strawberry I had in my mouth and I started laughing. Milk was dripping from his face, and some cereal was stuck to some part of his face.

"Temperance this is not funny, sleeping on the floor was so uncomfortable, I couldn't sleep. When I came down to eat breakfast this morning I had a bowl of cereal in front of me, not on my face, you laughing at me right now isn't helping my self-esteem."

"Okay, first of all I didn't ask you to sleep in my room, you wanted to. The only way you’re going to sleep in my room is by sleeping on the floor, and you know what, you should stop complaining about milk and cereal on your face, and go clean yourself up, my friend is coming over and I don't need you to embarrass me. Next time you should sleep in the guest room like you were supposed to last night."

"Alright, whatever Tempie, I’m going to take a shower, so if you need me, you know where to find me."

When I was done eating my fruit salad, I washed all the dishes that needed to be washed, and I cleaned all the counters, and vacuumed the lounge room. Swept and mopped the kitchen and hallways, watered all of Miranda's beautiful flowers. And I was done, the moment I was going to sit on the sofa to relax,the doorbell rang. I sighed and went over to open the door and invited Blake inside.

"Hey Temperance!" Blake says with excitement.

"Hi, are you hungry?"

"Nah, I ate at home, but thanks anyway. What's wrong, you never asked me if I was ever hungry or not."

"Nothing much, I just-" Jay interrupts me, 'What a jerk'.

"Hello, you must be Tempie's Friend, I'm-"
