CHAPTER 4- A Surprise Awaits

"He is so going to pay for what he did to you Temperance!" I was scared of him at this moment, he was really pissed. He was literally scaring me, and as much as I wanted to stay quiet, I knew I had to say something.

"No! Zack, you promised me you wouldn't do or say anything." He looked at me as if he really cared about me and he just needed to do something about what had happened to me, but of course I couldn't let that happen, no matter how happy that would make me feel later on. The problem is, that I am scared of Jay, now that I know what he is capable of doing. "Please Zack, for me. Please." I was pleading and pleading.

"Fine, only for you, but if he touches you ever again, and without your permission. He is a dead man!"

"Alright, alright I get it. Can we go home now, school hours are almost over and Jay told me to go straight home." I knew that at this time I needed space, I didn't care if it was even

a little space, but I just need a little bit of space.

"Sure babe."

"Zack, can you do me a favor?"

"Sure, what is it?"

"Can you drive back, I don't feel like driving right now, and I feel like sitting in the back, I feel like I just need some space."

"I would, but I really just don't know how to get back home, sorry."

"Use the GPS installed, thanks for using your brain." I was getting frustrated, I really wanted to get home in time, I did not want to be not even one second late. And this conversation is keeping me from getting home.

"No need for sarcasm Temperance, and fine, you can sit in the back and have you personal , but small amount of space."

So I moved to the back and sat right behind the drivers seat, and rested my head on the window, until he started the car. "Hey, temperance, do you mind if I plug in my I pod?" he asked while looking through the rearview mirror.

"No, I don't mind, go ahead and plug it in." I wish Terence would come home. I'm happy that he got a promotion, but why couldn't he take me with him? So what if I was eighteen, so what if I had all my friends here, so what if I had to spend much less time with Zack, but at least if I were with them, I wouldn't be going through this. I was startled when I heard my phone ring, and I instantly checked the caller I.D. just in case it was Jay, but I was wrong. The frown that was on my face, was slowly disappearing at the sight of this name, that I love so much.

"Hey, Terence, I miss you much."

"Hey little sis', I've missed you too, I'm letting you know, that there is a surprise waiting for you at home, and you're going to like it."

"Are you at home right now?" I really wish he was
