Chp. 6- Regretful Words

CHAPTER 6 - Regretful Words

I was shocked, like seriously shocked. "What was that all about?" I wanted to sound mad, but it didn't come out harsh or with anger. It was calm and relaxed.

"I told you. I love you." He said looking directly to my eyes.

"No, I know that, and I'm glad that you feel that way about me, but I have a boyfriend. I thought you knew thay."

"You're sweet and everything a girl can ask for, but I simply don't think I was made to be with you. I honestly think that there is a person out there for you, whom is better than me. Someone who will love you as much as you'll love them.

"Alright, I get it, you don't have the same feelings towards me like I do to you." He said with a down looking face. "I'll get out of your way now." He said getting up from my bed, but couldn't. I grabbed his arm without really knowing what I was doing.

He then slowly turned his head around to look at me in the face and said, "what?"

It has been two while minutes since is asked that. I have to come up with something to say. I did stop him from leaving, so why aren't I doing something. "Uh...I...ca....". Nothing, this is early getting on my nerves. Nothing is coming out of my mouth.

Alright I'll try one more time, "Adriann, I love you, I really do, but not in the same way you say you love me. You are the person I wish Terence left to take take care of me, not Jay, but I don't love you like that. Can we still be friends though?" I don't love him like that right? I mean I can't possibly love him like that, I love Zach. Although there were sparks lighting up within me when he kissed me.

"Yeah, of course we can still be friends, as long as I still have you near me." He said with a small smile.

It's been five minutes and the awkward silence was killing me. Suddenly the door bell rang.

Saved by the bell.

"That's probably Terence." I told Adriann while walking towards my bedroom door.

Adriann had followed me down the stairs and we saw Terence standing in front of the front for closed behind him.

I practically squashed Terence when I pulled him into one of the biggest bear hugs I could give him. "Hi Terence! I've missed you so much, please say that you will stay longer than just this weekend."

"Sorry Tempie, but I have to start work this week, and I wasn't sure when I was going to be able to come visit you when I did start, so here I am, visiting you, before I start." He said then looked behind me. I turned around to see what Terence was looking at, and I found the twins standing right behind me and next to them was Jay.

Right when I was about to introduce Adriann and Andrew to Terence, Terence opens his mouth and says, "Hey Andrew, Adrianna. How long have you two been here? Terence asked while walking into the living room.

"My name is not Adrianna, it Adriann!" Adriann said through clenched teeth.

"Yeah, sure whatever." He said to Adriann then looked over at me. "So anyways, Temperance, what was up with you skipping school the other day?" He said while having eye contact with me which made me nervous. Not because he was looking at me, but because right now I was center of attention.

I like attention and all, but not when everyone in the same room as you have their eyes on you, all at the same time.

"Um, well I just needed a break from everything that is happening with you leaving, me having to live with this jerk." I said pointing my finger at Jay. That's when I noticed that Jay looked furious with me. If looks could kill, I would be gone by now. So I quickly looked away from him.
