Monday, start of another week balik skwela na naman and as usual I was deprived of sleep. I think it was already 3 am when I arrived home from QC and I still got nothing. It was frustrating and tiresome yet I don't want to give this up. This was my closest shot to finding my mother as of now. Anyways, I decided not to bring my car today baka kasi makatulog lang ako sa biyahe instead I brought with me my skateboard, the one with the word freedom. Somehow the brush of fresh morning air on my skin makes my senses refresh and awake.

Some students give me stroppy glances as I paved my way to the gate where Sav usual waits for me. And unlike the others, she excitedly looks at me as I planted one foot on the ground while the other one steps on to the tail of my board before I grab the it with my hand. "Morning" sabi ko kaagad pagkaharap sa kanya.

"Morning, oh my gosh Az alam mo bang ang cool mo tignan kanina?" She said smiling as we proceed to our locker. "Gusto ko din tuloy matuto nyan kaya lang parang nakakatakot kasi."

"Sa simula lang nakakatakot you'll get used to it  pagtagal na. I can teach you if you want." I was caught off handed when she launch herself on me.

"Talaga?" Her eyes were sparkling as they hopefully look at me kaya tumango ako kaagad. "Waaah thank you Az, bibili ako ng skateboard mamaya." Then she let go from the hug, I just hope Nathaniel won't kill me if he saw a bruised Savannah going home. Skateboarding was never easy when your just starting, I used to have bruises before the first time dad gave me a board. Broken ribs the first time a tried to do a complicated trick, so I ended up on the hospital for two fucking weeks.

"Diba sila yun?"

"Yup sila ngang dalawa yun."

"Swerte naman nila."

"Sinabi mo pa, pero grabe no tie sila."

Savannah meets my puzzled face and the same was reflected on hers as the students look at us while we walk through the hallway from our lockers. "Anong meron?" I just shrugged my shoulder since I don't have a freaking idea about all this awkward glances.

"Savannah, Azure..congrats sa inyo!" Jasmine cheerfully said to us, she's one of our classmates. Nagtataka lang kaming nakatangin sa kanya, kaya nagsalit sya ulit. "Naka post na sa bulletin board ang bagong ranking para sa first grading at nasa top 15 kayong dalawa." Oh, I completely forgot about the rankings. Our first periodical exam was conducted Monday-Wednesday last week by the way.

"Really? Thanks Jas, tingnan natin Az." Savannah was practically dragging me to where the bulletin board was. Kung nasa top nga kami, it means we will be classmates with the 5X which I think is a bad news for me. I really forgot about the rankings when I took the tests and nasa isip ko lang ay masagutan lahat ng exams and receive my diploma as I graduate.

Malayo pa lang kita na naming pinagkakaguluhan ang bulletin board I was about to tell Sav that we'll check it later pag wala na masyadong tao when some of the students notice us. The give way  which made it easier for us to reach the board. "God, top one ka Az. Wow congrats! This was the first time that someone caught up with Jairus." Hmm, so boy genius nga talaga si Mr. Lazy Brown Eyes. I search for Savannah's name and she was on the 8th place, not bad. Matalino naman talaga si Savannah eh.
