I woke up on an unfamiliar room and the smell of antiseptic is sickly sweet. The last thing I remembered was Jairus taking me home and I was still able to say goodnight to him. And bringing me here is not really necessary. I'm used to poisons and I only need to rest and sleep for me to regain my strength, well except if it's a new poison. Something that my body was not accustomed into.

I pushed my body up to sit and I found a sleeping Jairus on my right. He was still wearing our uniform from yesterday. "Pssst Jairus." I called. "Jairus..." Tinulak ko ng bahagya yung balikat nya to wake him up because right now I could even eat a whole chicken and it wasn't really an exaggeration. "Uy.."

"Hmmm" he moaned and slowly lifted his head. His eyes look puffy and very sleepy but when he saw me it widens. "Azul!" He staggered ng bigla syang tumayo. "How do you feel? Are you okay?" That vivid concern on his face makes me feel warm inside.

"I'm good." I said with a shrug.

"But the doctor said you're poisoned."

"I was poisoned but you don't need to bring me here though. All I need is rest."

He looks at me like I am nuts. "What? You're fever is over the top last night and you expect me not to bring you here?" His brows were almost forming one line. I was never this greedy for attention but this; I think I can live my entire life with him always telling me off. Because it really felt so good.

Heaving a deep sigh I drop the topic. "You won't understand. But I'm okay now."

"What do you mean by that?" Pissed Jairus is somehow very entertaining for me.

"I was trained. I was building my immune system to adapt with poison. Okay na?" The lines on his forehead were still visible and I am feeling he was not yet done pero sobrang gutom ko na talaga kaya nauna na akong magsalita when he was about to open his mouth. "Pwedeng kumain muna? Coz ' I think I would not die from poison but from hunger. I'm famished!"

He looks like he don't want to let it go but then resignation slowly creeps on his face. "Fine! Wait here." He gave me that 'we're not yet done' look before he went outside.

I roam my eyes around the entire place and this room sure looks first class. After several minutes my stomach growled angrily again. Buti nalang at hindi na ako nghintay ng mas matagal pa, the door opened and emerged a serious looking Jairus with paper bags on his hands from a known restaurant. He prepared the foods silently kaya napilitan na din akong tumahimik and eyed his every move.

"Let's eat." Straight face na aya nito sa akin and I did not comment anymore since my attention is only focus on the food.

"What?" Nagtatakang tanong ko kasi nakatingin lang sya sa akin. I smiled sheepishly when grains of rice flew to his direction. "Sorry."

"Tch!" He grimaced before he helps himself with the food.
