I get home with Josh and it's about 11:30. Jen is asleep on the couch so we try to sneak upstairs without waking her. Almost there and... the bottom stair squeaks, no such luck. Jen sits up and the couch immediately and groans.
“Dammit!” I mutter under my breath.
“Steph?” Jen asks and I roll my eyes tempted to tell her I was Death coming to get her but I decided against it. She is half asleep and would probably believe me.
“Yeah.” I say hesitantly.
“You were suppose to be home a half an hour ago.”
“Sorry Eric wouldn't let us leave the restaurant and we were late going to the movie.”
“Okay, goodnight.” she says sleepily and lays back down on the couch as me and Josh go upstairs to sleep.
My alarm clock goes off telling me it's time to go to school. I groan loudly and hit the snooze button. I roll over groaning again. If alarm clocks were people I would kill them... all. My alarm clock goes off again and I scream at it to shut up.
“Oh c'mon my singing's not that bad!” John yells from the hallway.
“I wasn't talking to you! But yeah it is that bad.” I say laughing at myself even though it wasn't that funny. I hear John make some type of whimpering sound from the hallway, and I roll my eyes and climb out of bed.
“Hey.” I say to Josh and Nick as I leave my room to see them racing to the stairs.
“HA!” Josh yells as he reaches the stairs when Nick turned around to say 'hey'.
“Wow Nick you let 'em win again?” I ask in a teasing tone.
“Shut up Steph!” Nick says in anger which has Jen and John yelling 'language' and Josh burst out laughing which made me oh so tempted to push him down the stairs.
Josh gives me a ride to school today since out of his last paycheck he bought a car, and he has a licence and I don't. We had the radio on blat and were singing loudly and quite badly might I add.
“I'm bulletproof nothing to loose fire away fire away.” Josh and I scream sing loudly. Yes, scream sing, it's a thing now it's when you are singing way to loudly. Josh suddenly starts laughing and I look at him like he's crazy.
“That old women in the car was staring at us like we were crazy. Her window was down and we are singing rather loudly.” Josh says and I can't help but laugh at his choose in words. He was talking all proper like and for Josh it was funny. By proper, yes I am referring to him saying rather. I'm weird okay?
We pull in to the school parking lot and I jump out of the car to head to my locker. I hear Josh yell “Hey wait up!” as i take off across the school parking lot. I stop immediately and turn to face him with my eyebrows raised in question.
“I'm your boyfriend now remember? I get to walk you to class.” Josh says and I roll my eyes.
“Alright Joshy lets go.” I say earning a scowl from Josh. He hates it when we call him Joshy.
He comes up beside me and takes my bag while intertwining our fingers. I laugh as I walk closer to his side walking really close to him.
“You don't have to take my bag you know?” I say feeling weird that he even took it in the first place.
“That guys carrying his girlfriends bag.”
“Yeah but, their situation is a little different.” I say and Josh laughs.
“While I want to be the best f–”
“Hey guys!” Amanda says running towards us in the hallway and cutting him off.
