When Lies Become Reality (On Hold)

Chapter 16

~Stephanie's P.O.V.~

Taylor, Alex, Jay, Logan and I all sit in Alex's hospital room laughing and talking until, of course, Alex notices something is wrong.

"Hey, what's up?" she asks eyeing me carefully.

"Josh." I state and just by the thought of his name I could burst into tears once again. I hate how much it hurt to see him walk away. What if hates me now? I don't think I could live without him. I know we have only been dating for about a week and we haven't even known each other for a year but I still love him more than I ever have anybody else.

"What happened?" Alex asks. So I tell her, and well I guess I tell Taylor, Jay and Logan too, about everything that happened. I told them about how he walked away and how we talked in the elevator and he said he "Had to go because he had an important lunch with 'Jim' and that he was sorry and would tell me everything later." as soon as those words were out of my mouth, a pink haired, Taylor stormed out of the hospital room.

"Where is she going?" I ask Alex but Jay answers.

"She's Taylor she could be gone to get a tattoo for all we know." I hear Alex gasp like she just heard the most brilliant idea in the world.

"No, you're not getting a tattoo." Logan says sternly to, a now pouting, Alex.

"You're not the boss of me!" Alex says jokingly.

"Well, fine, but Jake is and I'm pretty sure he isn't going to let you get a tattoo." Logan says now smiling in victory.

"Jake isn't the boss of me!" Alex yells back.

"He's older than you!" Logan yells.

"By fifteen minutes God damn it!" Alex screamed and I burst out laughing. Jake always says he's the boss because he is older than her. They're twins though so it's only by fifteen minutes but we won't let Alex live it down.

"I'm with you girl. Tats are hot." Jay says. "Like this one is the best." He says while lifting his shirt and showing us a big tattoo of a kings crown with wings coming up from behind it and 'Love' in handwriting above the crown on his chest.

"That is amazing!" I scream. "But, I'm with Logan on this one Alex, you're not getting a tattoo."

"Fine!" she huffs. We all burst out into laughter. Until I remember something or more specifically someone.

"Where is Jake anyway?" I ask, although I direct my question to Alex, Logan is the one to answer.

"Out with some chick." the words are barely out of his mouth but Alex's jaw drops to the floor.

"O-on a date?" she stutters.

"Yup." Logan replies popping the 'p'.

"I thought he was hung up on Stephanie?" Alex asks like it was no big deal but I sat with my jaw on the floor.

"Was. After they k-" Logan starts but I cut him off by making random sounds that mean 'shut it or I'll kill you'.

"How do you know that?!" I scream at him.

"Jake told me." Logan states with a shrug.

"After they what? And when did you start talking to Jake?" Alex asks.

"They kissed. But, Jake told me because he felt like it, no big deal." Logan says.

"You kissed my brother!?" Alex asks.

"More times then once but, yeah, once since he got here. That's when we decided we were just friends." I state kind of embarrassed. I was about to excuse myself when there was a knock at the door.
