When Lies Become Reality (On Hold)

Chapter 13

"He raped you?" Logan asked from the doorway. We both looked up to him in shock.

"I uh." Alex started but I guess she didn't really know what to say.

"When did you get here?" I ask. He rolls his eyes at me then walks over to Alex's bedside.

"Were you going to tell me?" Logan asks looking into Alex's eyes, his own full of hurt.

"Uh uh y-you w-would tell the p-police." Alex said looking ashamed.

"Well obviously." he says almost shouting.

"Don't talk to her like that!" I say now almost shouting as well. That's when he stood and penetrated his gaze into mine.

"Stay out of this. I have been there more for her in the past two months than you ever have!" he shouts in my face. That's when Jake and Josh walked in. Jake walks over and shoves Logan hard against the wall.

"I know you're freaking out about Alex but that does not give you the right to get up in Steph's face like that!" he yells. That's when Josh walks over and shoves Jake against the wall also. What's with guys and shoving people against walls anyway? 

"It's not your problem anymore. You left her!" Josh yells.

"What do you mean left her?" Jake asks and I roll my eyes thinking about the conversation Josh and I had yesterday.

 And I swear to God if I ever meet Jake I will knock everyone of those damned teeth down his throat. Because damn Stephanie I love you so much more than I should.

With this thought I chuckle a little and everyone turns to stare at me like I'm crazy, but I am quickly ignored as they go back to there little fight.

"When everything happened with her dad you left!" he shouts and Logan shakes his head.

"You idiots! You sound like teenage girls fighting over some guy. We're not supposed to be focused on Stephanie or Steph or whatever the hell her name is!" Logan yells gaining the attention of everyone in the room.

"It's Steph." I say quietly.

"I thought you hated nicknames?" Jake asks.

"Dude, who gives a fuck? Your sister was just raped!' Logan yells. Guilt spreads across his face as soon as Alex gasps. An awkward silence fills the room for about two minutes until Jake finally speaks.

"W-what?" that's when Alex burst into tears and within seconds Logan is holding her while apologizing for blurting it out like that.

"Oh my God!" I sigh in frustration. Everyone turns to stare at me for a minute before I say "Everybody get out!"

"And why would you think you can tell me to leave? It's not you in the hospital!" Logan yells clearly annoyed that I was "taking over."

"I told you not to talk to her like that!" Jake says getting up in his face once again.

"And I told you it wasn't your problem!" Josh retorts. I roll my eyes. He's cute when he's jealous.

"Guys!" Logan yells once again. "Everybody out!" and then he pushes them out of the hospital room.

Alex and I talk for hours. She tells me about how scared she was and what the sick bastards did to her. By the end of our conversation we had cried so much I was surprised we weren't dehydrated.

~Josh's P.O.V.~

I hate him more than I thought possible. By him I mean Jake. He acts like he owns her. Like it's his job to protect her. Ugh and Logan. He gets up in her face an yells at her. Sure the dude has a lot going on but that doesn't mean he can yell at her!
