When Lies Become Reality (On Hold)

Chapter 14

"What a-about us?" I asked looking into Jake's eyes. "You decided there was no 'us' when you didn't come and see me in the hospital."

"I know and I'm sorry. I haven't stopped thinking about you since the day you left." Jake says actually looking embarrassed.

"I haven't stopped thinking about you either." I admit sheepishly. I might have been in love with Josh but I still loved Jake. The words are barely out of my mouth and Jake wraps his arms around my waist, mine go around his neck and our lips join. It feels amazing to be kissing Jake again but, yet it feels wrong. I find myself wanting to break the kiss but before I have the chance to... Jake does.

"I-I'm sorry that was uncalled for." he stuttered.

"That's okay how about we not talk about this and go see you sister?" I ask trying to hide my embarrassment. He nods and we slowly take off towards Alex's hospital room.

"Know any girls I could date?" Jake asks looking down at me. I roll my eyes.

"Once a player, always a player." I say laughing at the memory of when we were about nine or ten and Jake was convinced he was the ultimate player. I don't know if he's thinking the same thing (obviously I can't read minds, but that would be cool) but I'm pretty sure he is. "Honestly though, I might." I say, as brilliant idea goes through my mind.

"Really? Who?" he asks sounding excited. 

"I need to find out if she's dating at the moment." I say and he fake pouts. I laugh as we round the corner to Alex's hosital room. As I'm about to walk through the door I hear a familiar voice say "Holy shit, it's you!" 

"Holy shit you're buff!" Jake yells back going to give my little bro what I assumed would be a man hug. I laughed at Jake as he fully embraced him. The look on Nick's face was just hilarious.

"Sorry dude, Jay's gayness is rubbing off on me." Jake said. Oh yeah that reminds me...

"I need you to give me Jay's and Taylor's numbers now!" I say to Jake. He looks hesitant but knows better than to argue with me. He passes me his phone and I find the two numbers and put them in on my phone.

"Wait, why are you here anyway? And who the hell's Jay?" Nick asks and I laugh at him. I don't know why I just do. I swing the door to Alex's room open and Nick walks in to find Logan about to kiss her. Logan groans than leans back in his chair. I laugh a little. Alex and Nick don't seem to notice though, they're to busy gawking at each other.

"When did you get hot?" they asked at the same time. I saw Logan glare at Nick, obviously not knowing that he's only fourteen.

"Yeah, 'cause this hospital gowns just sexy. Now come here and hug me Mother Fucker!" Alex yells back. Nick is quick to make his way over to Alex and bring her into a death hug. Or at least he looked like he was going to until he seen all the bandages on her back and decided to hug her gently.

"Who are you exactly?" Logan finally asked from his chair.

"Well, I'm the super hot, amazing boyfriend of course. Who the fuck are you?" Nick asks sounding really serious.

"Nick!" I shout before he has a chance to take things to far. "That's my stupid little brother." I say and roll my eyes.

"Oh, you're Nick! You were suppose to be small." he said with a fake pout.

"I know! How did this happen?" Alex says still gawking at my, apparently hot (shudder of disgust), little brother.

"Doesn't matter. Good thing is now we're both hot." he says smiling at Alex. Logan rolls his eyes and Jake and I just laugh. I hear someone clear their throat from behind me in the doorway. I turn expecting too see Josh, and by the look on Jake's face he thought it would be Josh too, but it's Jen and John. I don't know why but I quickly hug John. He seemed confused at first but quickly hugged me back. I then hugged Jen and turned back to my other family.
