When Lies Become Reality (On Hold)

Chapter 9

~Stephanie's P.O.V.~

I wake up in the morning and drag myself out of bed and towards the bathroom. When I get to the door I notice someone's in the shower and I could literally cry I am that tired. I look and see that Nick's room door is opened and he's sitting on his bed. Now I know it has to be Josh in the shower, I unlock the door with my thumb nail and go in the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. Josh is in the shower singing away and I laugh a little to myself as I hear what song he is singing.

Uh oh!

I don't know about you

But I'm feeling 22

Josh sings and I try not to laugh.

That's when I lose it and burst in to laughter. I guess Josh hears me and I see his head poke out of the shower curtain as he yells “What the-?”

“I'm really tired and didn’t feel like waiting so I let myself in... nice song by the way.” I say as he sticks his head back in the shower curtain.

“You want to let me shower in peace please?” he asks.

“No, that's okay, I hear people who are dating and living in the same house don’t mind sharing a bathroom in the morning. Actually I heard it was usually preferred.”

“Just one problem,” he says “we're not dating!”

"Details!” I yelled back laughing at how awkward this must be for him but it really wasn't bothering me.

“Oh my God you're weird why am I in love with you again?” he asks.

“But, you're not." I say my cheeks heating up at the thought of him being in love with me.

“Details!” he says and by now I’m blushing like crazy. The water in the shower turns off and Josh says “Want to pass me that towel?”

“Get it yourself!” I say and realize it was a bad idea when he says “Alright” and steps out the shower. I turn around and say “I was going to pass it to you, you know? You didn’t need to just step out in front of me naked!”

“Don't deny it you like what you saw!” he says walking around in front of me with a towel around his waist. Then he turns and shows off his undeniably hot six pack. I guess I stared for a moment to long because he said “See, I’m hot.” and walked out of the bathroom and left the door open to a very surprised Nick to see Josh walk out of the bathroom and me still in there.

After I wash my face, brush my teeth and do my hair I go downstairs and directly out the door to Josh's car not talking to anyone. Josh comes over and knocks on the car window holding a granola bar. I roll down the window.

“I know that you are very distracted by the sexiness that is my body”  'you have no idea' I think as my eyes almost trail down his chest once again. “but, you do have to eat something. Aren’t you hungry? For anything besides me, of course.” Josh says quite seriously.

I snatch the granola bar, roll my eyes, and put up the window. Josh laughs and unlocks the car doors with his key. He opens my door and says “Ah you're forgetting one very important thing.” I look at him raising my eyebrow, willing him to go on. “I own the keys that unlock the door so even though you put up the window I can still get in” and then he leans over and kisses me on the cheek. I am amazed I didn’t melt and turn into a pile of mush when he lingered there letting his warm breath caresses my cheek.
