Chapter 15

~Emma's POV~

Okay so now I feel kind of bad for beating my super hot mate in front of his pack...kind of. Okay maybe I don't feel that bad. It's actually kind of funny and he totally deserves it for not thinking of me as equally strong (If not stronger) than him.

Lauren and Ryan ran up to my side

"Way to show him how it's done Em" Lauren said

"Em I think ya'll should have a rematch. And this time no powers. Don't let him think he only won because of a spell" Ryan said confidently. As my second in command, part of his job is to protect my reputation.

"Yes I agree I want a rematch!" Tyler said and I smiled

"Aw did I hurt the big Alpha's feelings?" I said playfully

"No of course not I'm so proud of you babe" He said and this made me blush because I can tell how sincere he is.

"Alright then lets do this! And this time I'll take it easy on you" I said with a wink

"Whoa no! No one said anything about taking it easy, just hand to hand this time okay? no energy beams or whatever" He replied.

I smiled "deal"

"Alright same rules as last time 3 2 1 FIGHT" Chandler yelled.

We circled around in the same way as the first time and I tried to figure our how to play this. I know that I'm faster than him, but I am certainly not stronger than him I mean his biceps are literally the size of my head. Before I had the chance to figure out a plan Tyler jumped forward and I dodged left, luckily avoiding contact. Before Tyler had the chance to turn around again I grabbed both of his wrists and pushed his arms up to his head, causing him to lower himself to the ground. I knew from firsthand experience what a painful position this is, but I knew it was the only way for me to overpower him. He was now laying on his stomach and I was straddled over him. The crowd starting counting down again and this time when they got to 10 Tyler whispered,

"Hey babe maybe we can try this position in bed later tonight" And I gasped.

He used my moment of embarrassment to free himself from my grasp and he jumped back to his feet. I quickly stood up, but before I could defend myself he kicked my feet out from under me causing me to fall to the ground on my back.

He immediately positioned himself over me with one knee on each side of my legs and both hands pinned above my head. I tried to wiggle out of his grasp but I knew it was useless, as soon as I was pinned I couldn't compete against him using sheer force alone. The crowd counted down and the people on the pack side were going crazy.

"Actually, I think I like this position a little better" Tyler said with the most smug expression I have ever seen on any person ever.

"You wish" I said with a sigh while continuing to struggle.

"28 29 30" The crowd counted down and Tyler released me and helped me stand up.

"It was a fair fight" I said with a smile. No one likes a bad sport, and it's important for me to show grace after a loss.

"You did great! I'm surprised you even pinned him for one round without your powers, the only other person that has ever done that is Chandler" Jason said

"Wow that actually does make me feel better" I said and everyone laughed.

I turned around to face my coven. "Now you see why it is so important to train without powers. I know for a fact that I can pin all of you, even you Mac" I said pointing to the biggest guy in our coven. Seriously he's a mountain. He's even bigger than Tyler, not as cute, but bigger.

"My point is, if I can't beat a were it means you guys probably can't either. And I want you all to be on your A game for the current mission. So keep sparring in pairs, and Ryan and Mac will come around and critique you." I said with a smile, and they nodded their heads and assembled back into pairs.

"You're amazing" Tyler whispered as he wrapped his arms around me.

"Well you're not so bad yourself" I said with a smile. "Now get the pack out of here I think they're distracting my coven. Especially Chandler can you please tell him to find some clothes?!" At this both Jason and Tyler laughed. Chandler was strutting around without a shirt on flexing his muscles in front of the witches.

"Good luck with that" Lindsey said and Jason rolled his eyes.

Before leaving Tyler turned to Lauren "I hope that you'll feel free to stay at our house anytime Lauren, I know Emma misses you a lot"

"Thank you! I'll probably take you up on that one" Lauren said with a chuckle. I looked up at Tyler and gave him a sincere smile. He was so thoughtful to think of my friend like that.

"Oh that reminds me! You haven't even met Ryan yet! Ryan come over here!!" I yelled. He looked up and ran to my side.

"Hey man nice to meet you" Tyler said

"Back at you" Ryan replied as he shook his hand.

"I was just telling Lauren that she is welcome here anytime and the same goes for you. I know how important it is for a leader to be near his...or her second and third in command" Tyler said.

Ryan looked surprised "Thanks" was all he said but I could tell the offer meant a lot to him. It made me happy to see two of the most important men in my life getting along so well.

"Alright now back to work you two" I said and Lauren and Ryan laughed before returning to the coven.

"Okay I'm sorry for the distraction, I'm going to leave you to get back to work now" Tyler said.

"Thanks for stopping by" I said before standing on my tip toes and reaching up to give him a kiss. He smiled and walked towards the house.

After working with the coven for a while I could tell they were exhausted.

"Great work today everyone, I'm extremely proud of you all. I can already see so much improvement! I'll see you guys in a few days again for powers practice, but until then you'll continue to work with Ryan and Lauren. And don't forget to be on the ready for the next week or so because until I figure out what is happening with this mission I won't know how many of you I'll need. Go home and get some rest" I said with a smile and the coven headed back to the pack house where the cars were parked.

I hugged most of the members goodbye and waved to the rest, and I made sure to set up meeting with each of the neophytes to discover their talents individually.

Lauren gave me a hug before whispering "Be sure to call me soon with all of the details, but be careful okay because I know the dogs have like crazy sonar hearing" she said and we both laughed.

"Bye Em. Call if you need ANYTHING at all" Ryan said before giving me a giant bear hug.

"Thanks Ry, take care of the coven. I believe in you" I said.

And with that, I watched my coven drive away and turned around to face the house full of werewolves in front of me.
