The Choice

Chapter 13

~Emma's POV~

When I woke up the next morning, I could again sense that Tyler was no longer in the room. When I rolled over to look at the couch I was sad to see that I was right. Wait sad? What? No, not sad, why would I care where he was? I sighed before standing up and getting in the shower. I realized that I had forgotten to pack my own shampoo and body wash so I used Tyler's and I'm not going to lie, I loved the way it smelled. As I stood there in the shower letting the warm water caress my skin my thoughts drifted to my coven. It's not uncommon for witches and werewolves to cross paths, but it is practically unheard of for 12 witches to come into not only pack territory, but into a pack house. I know that tensions will be high today, but for some reason I feel relatively optimistic about it. I stepped out of the shower and put on training gear and combat boots, letting my wet hair down to dry. I grabbed my phone and saw that I had a text from Lauren:

*On the way, be there in 30*

I smiled. I couldn't wait to see my friends again, and I was so excited for them to meet Tyler. I walked downstairs to discover that I was alone in the house. I went to the kitchen and opened the fridge to find something to eat for breakfast when I heard the door open.

"Hey Emma it's me, I brought you some breakfast because knowing Tyler the fridge is probably empty" Lindsey said as she walked through the door.

I laughed "Well you're right, unless I wanted to eat a bottle of ketchup or a jar of pickles there is no food in this place"

Lindsey laughed too before giving me a hug and handing me a plate of scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and a muffin.

"Wow this looks amazing thank you so so much!" I exclaimed

"Of course Luna anytime"

"Please call me Emma, Luna is just too weird" I told her

She smiled "Of course Emma, but you'll have to get used to it soon enough, the other pack members won't be as comfortable with the informalities"

I nodded my head in understanding. Other pack members would want to show respect to their alpha, and not addressing me as Luna could be seen as a sign of disrespect.

"Tyler wanted me to tell you that he is running patrols but will be back in time to meet your coven" Lindsey said.

I smiled, "I'm really excited for you all to meet them"

"Are you nervous about if they'll approve of Tyler?" She asked with a smile

I shrugged "A little I guess, but I'm more nervous about the idea of an entire coven outside the pack house"

She nodded in understanding, "Yeah I think everyone will be a little on edge at first but I'm sure everything will go smoothly"

"I sure hope so" I said before finishing off her amazing breakfast.

"Oh Jason just mindlinked me, your coven just crossed into pack territory!" Lindsey exclaimed and we walked over to the main entrance of the pack house to greet them.

They rolled up in 5 identical black Range Rovers that we always used for transportation. Lauren was the first one out of the car and she rushed up to give me a hug. I smiled as I was so excited to be reunited with my crazy red headed best friend.

"ohmygoshImissedyousomuchtellmeeverythingthathappenedomg" She said excitedly and I laughed

"Whoa Loe you're going to have to slow down it's only been two days since I saw you!"
