Chapter 13- A Glimpse of Savanna

SURPRISE!

(SAVANNA's POV)

"Hi Savanna, had a great Christmas?" Hermione asked.

"For the first time, yes. And you?" I answered and she looked down. "Are you alright?" I asked.

"Uh, yeah, I think I need to check on something, better go to the library." Hermione said and stood up.

 Hermione's vacated seat was taken by Ginny, who looked at me and smiled.

"Hey, Sav, where are my brothers?" she asked.

"Detention." I answered.

"It's only the first day back." Ginny said as I pushed some chocolate towards her. She took one and smiled. "Thanks." she added.

"I tried to spring them out but I got caught by Snivellus." I said and her eyes widened. "I made an alibi that didn't earn me a detention but didn't stop him from docking points." I added, waving my hand away and she chuckled.

"How were your holidays?" she checked.

"Perfect. Yours?" I asked.

"Same here." Ginny said.

"OI!" Percy called out, looking at me and Ginny. "What are you doing?" he bossily asked Ginny.

"Talking to Savanna." Ginny said.

"You're not allowed to talk to her." Percy said.

"Says who?" she asked, standing upand glaring at her brother. I stood up.

"That's alright, Gin. I don't want you to get into a fight with your brother over me. I have to go anyway." I said and left, but not before I heard Ginny and Percy arguing.

I sighed and made my way back to the common room. On the landing, however, I ran into Harry, who was talking to Oliver Wood. 

"Savanna." Oliver called my name and I looked at him. He smiled.

"Hi." I greeted and headed towards the common room, not sure what just happened.

I was about to sit on one of the chairs when the door opened and in came Professor McGonagall, who seemed to be looking for someone and was followed by an annoyed Harry.

"Miss Black, can I see you in my office now?" she asked.

"Yes, Professor." I answered and started to follow her.

I followed Professor McGonagall as we walked towards her office, passing by the twins, who greeted Professor McGonagall and smiled at me. George seemed to be taking his time walking, something that Fred, naturally pointed out. George winked at me.

"Sit, Miss Black." Professor McGonagall said and I sat.

"I assumed you had fun during the holidays?" she asked and I looked at her.

"Yes, Professor." I answered and she smiled.

"Well, I'm glad you did." she said. "Did you receive any gift from an unknown sender?" she asked.

She must have seen the look of surprise on my face, that she offered her palm as if to say "Can I see?" and immediately, my hand fell into my pocket and took out the necklace that I have been carrying around. She looked at it and examined the gold chain and then went on to look at the pendant, a tiara.

"And this came from someone you don't know?" she asked, looking at me.

"Yes." I answered.

"And you haven't worn it?" she checked.
