(SAVANNA's POV)

"You are to help me sort these essays by houses and no funny business, Savanna." Professor McGonagall said.

"Aren't they supposed to be.." I began but she looked up from the essays she was reading and gave me a stern look.

"I could do it by magic of course, but you and I both know you deserve a detention." she said.

She continued to give me that stern look until I gave her my best smile. For a moment she continued to look at me and then something in her face changed, from stern to soft, like she was remembering something and then, she looked down and went back to reading her essays.

"Hmmm..." I softly said, reading Draco Malfoy's essay and I smirked.

"No funny business, Black." I jumped when I spotted Professor McGonagall looking at me.

"Just reading." I said and shrugged.

"You will answer if Mr. Malfoy's essay turns out missing." she said.

I decided to ignore her and went back to sorting the essays. I smirked when I spotted Pansy Parkinson's essay. Deciding that Professor McGonagall wouldn't notice or hold me accountable for the sudden "loss" of this essay, I swiped it very slowly and then, placed in the pocket of my robes. I was halfway to finishing the third stack of essays when a light came inside the office, startling both the Professor and I. The light turned into a talking Patronus.

"Is that a phoenix?" I asked.

"Yes, Miss Black, now be quiet." she said and I watched the Patronus.

"Minerva, I must ask you to bring Miss Savanna Black to my office, right now."

"Professor Dumbledore's." I said, amazed.

"You heard what it said. We better hurry." she said.

I stood up, making sure my wand is inside my pocket and followed Professor McGonagall.

"What is going on?" I asked Professor McGonagall.

"We'll have to see." she said as I followed her towards Professor Dumbledore's office.

"OH SAVVY, I THINK IT'S YOUR DADDY.." Peeves called out in a singsong voice.

I was about to stop walking and ask Peeves but Professor Dumbledore appeared outside his office.

"What is going on?" Professor McGonagall asked Professor Dumbledore.

"Miss Black needs to get inside." he mysteriously said and looked at me. "I won't put you at risk, but you need to know. You deserve to know." he added.

Before any word could be said, I stepped inside his office and saw Snuffles.  My eyes widened.

:"SNUFFLES!" I called out and then went on to hug the dog, that licked my cheek.

"This is where I leave you for twenty minutes, Miss Black." Professor Dumbledore had said.

"A-HA! Back again, aren't we? You look just like that father of yours. And don't you roll your eyes at me, young lady!" the portrait of ex-headmaster, Phineas Nigellus Black.

I glared at the portrait and decided to ignore it. When I turned to face Snuffles once more, I found him gone, but instead, standing on the same spot was a man who had a wild look on his face. I realized a few things at once. First, that was how I look when I had too much sugar. Second, the man's face was slightly pale and gaunt and third...
