(SAVANNA's POV)
"Like totally, he was ever so charming! I just don't understand why he and his twin brother would hang with that Black kid." one of them said.
"Honestly, what does he see in her?" another demanded.
"Don't be mean, ladies." someone said as I walked over to the other side of the shelf, away from them.
"Defending that Black kid, now?" she asked.
"No, it's just that..well, during the first night back here.." the other said.
"Go on, tell us." her friend prodded.
"Well, I'm a prefect, aren't I? Anyway, I intentionally dropped my bag and George helped me and we talked for a bit. He's so good-looking and funny. I ran my fingers through his hair and told him the password to the Gryffindor common room. And then, last night..well.." she said, giggling.
"What happened?" her friend urged her, her friend's voice sounding so excited and thrilled.
"He snogged me and asked if we could meet on the date of our first Hogsmeade trip." she said and everyone laughed and cheered.
"Ladies." Madam Pince called out and they all fell silent.
When Madam Pince walked away from them, they began to giggle again. Too annoyed to do some reading on my secret project, I grabbed my bag and walked away, passing by them. The moment they saw me, they all looked at each other and laughed snottily. I stopped, faced them and took out my wand and sent a well-aimed hex at all five of them, including the prefect.
"What's up?" Harry asked as soon as I stepped into the common room.
"Nothing." I answered and took the empty seat beside him.
"You can't nothing us, Sav, you look ready to hex people." Ron said.
"Which I already have done, so I guess I'm just going to sit here for awhile, I swear I'm going to be silent." I said.
They both looked at me, looked at each other, shrugged and went on to write their essays. For a few moments, the only noise that came were from the quills that Harry and Ron both used. I sighed and both of them looked at me.
"Don't you have essays to write?" Ron asked.
"I'm done." I answered and shrugged and Ron went back to his essay.
The portrait opened and in came Lee and the twins. George took one look at me and smirked but I ignored him.
"Night." Harry and Ron both said.
"Night, Harry, night, Ron. Think I'm heading to bed too." I said, standing up.
"No, you're not." George told me.
I chose to ignore him, while I smiled at Fred and Lee, then gathered my things and was about to march upstairs towards the girls' room, when George pulled me, spun me around and made me face him.
"You alright?" he asked and I nodded. "No, of course you're not." he added.
"Think I'll go to bed." Fred annoounced.
"Me too." Lee said.
And with that, they both leave us in the common room, by the fireplace. George, who still hasn't let me go, looked at me. I clenched my jaw.
"Let's sit down, S, let's talk and let's hang. The night is young, it is for us." he said.
He dragged me towards the couch, our couch as I'd like to think, and made me sit. He sat beside me and looked at me. I must have frowned or scowled, that he suddenly looked worried. And I suddenly found myself unable to meet his eyes.
