The next morning, Lock and I left the house an hour before school started so that he could run around the sports track. I on the other hand, just wanted to sit in the stands and read a book, while listening to Taylor Swift songs on repeat. The morning was very foggy for an early autumn and I couldn't see past about ten meters ahead of me, so it was hard to see Key when he was in the opposite side of the track. At one point, he just stood there making idiotic noises, trying to scare me, but, because he's stupid, I knew it was him. Idiot.
Apart from myself, there were only a couple of other students there, all either studying or chatting with one another. Whilst I looked around like the nosey person I am, I entertained myself by breathing out to see the puffs steam rising from my mouth, reminding of the steam trains we used to go on as kids during our holidays around Europe and North America. I must of looked like such a pleb as I breathed out then giggled about it.
"Oi! Crazy lady, what you giggling at?" A voice called from the bottom of the stands. I turned to look and saw Connor in some burgundy skinny jeans, grey t-shirt, black leather jacket and the same nerd glasses, falling off the bridge of his nose, walking towards my seat.
"Con-lad! What you doing here so early?" I asked, once he had made it over to me.
"Nothing much, just spying a couple of hotties that are running around the track, you know, the usual." He flicked his hair to remove it from his eyes.
"So in other words, you're here to perve on my brother?"
"Yes, yes I am. And may I just say, what a wonderful specimen he is, yum!" He responded, wiggling his eyebrows under his glasses.
"Ew, just ew, he's too stupid and my twin brother, for goodness sake! So saying he's a wonderful specimen is like saying I am too, so you're not gay after all."
"Non-identical, my lovely, non-identical."
"Pfft,"
"Oh, there, there, it's okay, you'll find someone someday, you're just not my type."
"Yeah, I have a v when you'd rather see a d," I muttered.
"Now that was rude, it may be the truth but there's no need for you to say it so crudely!" His face pinched up and his nose crinkled.
"You're just far too sensitive." I replied, but he wasn't looking, only gaping as my sweaty twin walked up the steps towards us.
"Dude, close your mouth! You'll catch flies!" I whisper-yelled at him, closing his mouth with my finger.
"Hey Key, I'm done, so I will just go shower and then we can go to form, yeah?" He ran a hand over his red face, removing the sweat, before wiping it on his shirt. Ew. I looked over at Connor and saw him just staring in awe. Again, ew.
"Okay, just make sure you hurry your bum up! It's flipping cold and I don't have all day," I growled, tugging my coat closer around myself.
"Whatever. Oh, sorry for being so rude, I'm Locki, Key's twin, you must be Connor. Nice meeting you, or more like seeing you. It's nice to know my sister now has one friend. Don't worry, that smell she reeks of, it's not her fault, she just has horrendous body odour. Good luck with that! See ya," He waved briefly as he sauntered away slowly. I so wanted to slap him right now.
"Y-yeah, see ya." Connor stuttered sheepishly, making Lock snicker.
"I said hurry up, Douche!" I shouted at him.
"Get lost, Freak!" He yelled back at me, then ran to the locker rooms.
"Oh. My. Doritos! Your brother is so hot! And he just spoke to me, oh, I feel starstruck." Connor said wistfully, while fanning his face with his hand.
