We had been hanging out and just talking for hours, apart from Kacey, who had left after about half an hour after she arrived; obviously our company wasn't good enough for her. We had eaten Chinese that Kent had ordered from the local shop and watched movies including both the Avengers movies and Guardians of the Galaxy; lets just say there were a lot of Marvel fans in the room at Kent's.

Lock and I left at around midnight, just as others were. Lock drove us, seeing as though I was exhausted from the whole slumber party last night and then the gathering this afternoon. During one point in the afternoon, we had gone outside and chucked a rugby ball around and played the childish game of British Bull Dogs, which luckily caused minimal injury, but left me completely drained.

We arrived home at twenty-past-twelve and snuck into the house to avoid waking everyone up. What we weren't expecting was our mother to still be up and sitting on the living room sofa watching the TV, whilst she waited for us.

"Finally back? How were your days?" She asked with a yawn, before getting up from the sofa and hugging us.

"It was good, we ate lots of unhealthy food and watched movies. Don't worry, Brooklyn cut Key off from the diet coke after they went to Nando's for lunch." Lock reassured Mum, making me smirk. Little did they know I had had my diet coke dealer giving me a mini can to down every now and then. I think he was going to make it a regular thing from now on, which would probably rot my teeth, but I didn't care. I had an addiction to maintain!

"Good, I must thank that girl, she's a sensible one, Key, keep her." Mum advised and I nodded in agreement, it wasn't like I could get rid of her anyway, even if I wanted to, she was attached at my hip.

"You'd better get to bed, Mother, you look as tired as we feel." Lock commented and Mum hit him over the head.

"Don't you take that tone with me, Boy, I know where you live." Mum hissed, but amusement radiated in her eyes.

"Mum,we live in the same house, so we know where you live, too." I stated, with araised eyebrow. Mum pulled a face at me, and then stomped her way upstairs.

"If I didn't know any better, I'd say that she was the teenager and we were the grownups." Lock said and I rolled my eyes. We walked up stairs together and went our separate ways when we reached the second floor landing. As soon as I got into my room, I dumped my bag from last night and pulled out my pyjamas, before pulling them on them on and getting into the cool sheets of my double bed. I pulled my quilt up to my chin and stuck my feet out of the warmth, resting them on top of the duvet. I snuggled into my pillows and sighed, closing my eyes and drifted off into oblivion.

Sunday was uneventful; we went to church in the morning and then had a family meal of roast dinner, which happens to be my favourite meal ever. Just thinking of those succulent homemade roast potatoes resulted in my mouth watering.

It was mid-Monday-morning, and I was sitting in Design Technology next to Connor, Ollie and Emily, and just listening to our teacher who was talking about the different features that Composite Materials have. Whilst Sir talked I drifted off to the corners of my mind that I had yet to explore today. There was only twenty-eight minutes left of the lesson before my free period and I really needed to write some lyrics for my music composition during it, otherwise I would never do it. I was trying to come up with some lyrics, when Connor hit me on the shoulder.

"What?" I whispered to him.

"You're humming and it's kind of distracting." Connor stated in a whisper, pushing his glasses up, which had slid down his nose slightly.

"Sorry, I didn't realise I was." I muttered in reply, before going back to my daydreaming.

"Key, I do hope you're paying attention to what I'm saying, this information could be the difference between you getting an A in this course or lower." My teacher called out sternly, giving me a stink eye.
