Earlier that day:

"Kacey, I let Kacey borrow them last Friday." Emily stated in a state of shock. What?

"Why would you let Kacey wear you shoes? Are you even friends with her?" I asked, feeling rather uncomfortable at the fact that she might be friends with Kacey of all people.

"Didn't you know? Kacey is my stepsister. My dad married her mum last year." She admitted sheepishly, rubbing the back of her neck with one hand and tugging on strands of hair with the other.

"Well that's a plot twist in itself." I muttered and Lock chuckled behind me.

"Come on, Key, even I knew they were stepsiblings." He teased and I growled.

"Well I'm sorry I wasn't informed of this." I snapped sarcastically.

"The question is, how do we find Kacey now?" Ollie butted in and I thought for a second before an idea formed in my head.

"How about, I give you the number of my brick phone and you mention it to her that you have it. I reckon she will get that number so she can start texting me again. I will pretend to act shocked at how she got my number and then ask to meet up at school this evening, so we can corner her and turn her in to the police." I suggested and the others nodded.

"Let's do it then." Emily said, getting her phone out so she could play her part. Once I had given her my new number, she ran off to find her stepsister.

"Are you sure about this?" Ollie asked, with his eyebrows knitted together.

"I'm sure." I reassured him, before turning to Lock. "Are you going to pick up the siblings now?"

"Yeah, but you have the keys, so you're going to need to give them to me, if you're staying here." He stated, waiting for me to finish routing through my bag to find the keys. I handed them over and he left, letting Ollie and I just look on after him.

"What shall we do whilst we wait for Kacey to text?" Ollie inquired.

"Cheeky Nando's?" I offered and Ollie grinned.

"Yes, Lad! What a ledge!" He shouted, unable to contain his excitement. I laughed and we walked out of the school, towards his car, whilst casually shoving one another into the path of cars and other students. When we got to the car, it was safe to say we had fewer friends than we had before.

Midway through our meal of sharing a lemon and herb chicken burger with two sides of fries, I finally got the text we had been waiting for.

Unknown: Change phones have we? You didn't think I wouldn't find out would you?

I laughed and showed Kacey's text to Ollie, who smirked.

"This is where I have to put my amazing acting skills into play." I said, whilst typing out my reply.

Me: How did you get this number?! Only seven people know of this phone!

Unknown: I have my ways, but you didn't heed my advice and I see you're with Ollie. Looks like I'm going to have to do something to a little brother of yours.

Me: Don't you dare touch him! How about we meet up, and then you can tell me in person why you hate me so much.

Unknown: Yes, we should, how about tonight, once you've finished your 'cheeky Nando's'. 11pm in the school cafeteria. Alone.

Me: Done, I'll see you there.

"What's happening?" Ollie asked, shoveling in another mouthful of chips.
