The Discovery

Hey Guys!!! What's up! So here's the next chapter! Dude I really need to update more. So yeah it's long ish but not in story amount...

Visions floated in my mind terrorizing my sleep. Thoughts I'd long since tried to forget.

I felt myself in the underworld... alone with no one. Like usual.

There was something off about this vision.

A whisper was in the air and I sensed someone familiar.

I turned and...

I... Stood behind me a far away look in my eye.

There was something inhuman about me. Something not right.

My eyes.

They where hollow and empty.

I screamed in horror as the son of Hades' skin began to fade.

I became yet another spirit like the rest.......

My brain kept telling me it wasn't real. That I wasn't dead but I couldn't be sure.

My eyes felt like lead.

I peeled them open to find a worried looking Solace on my right.

His brow was furrowed and his perfect blue eyes were welling with tears.

"Hey." I groaned.

Will jumped back obviously he had no clue I was awake.

"Nico!" He shouted loud enough for Hades to hear.

He tackled me with a hug that could have broken the ribs of a minotaur.

He drew away and looked at me like I'd risen from the dead. Not that I hadn't gotten that look before.

"Oh my gods your alive!" Will gasped.

"Um yeah I just fell a sleep for a few minutes." I groaned.

Will shook his head at me.

"No. Not minutes. Days. You were asleep for three days!" He insisted a flood of tears in his eyes.

"Your skin. It wasn't there anymore! You were fading Nico! You were dying!"

I looked at him somewhat touched that he cared.

"I... I thought you were gone!" He choked. Turning his head so I wouldn't see the tears spill out of his eyes.

"I-" I started but I was interrupted by a stinging in my side.

Will looked up like I had just screamed.

"What's wrong!" He hissed.

"Nothing!" I winced.

He noticed blood coming from my side.

"Nico." He said in a stony voice, "Let. Me. See."

I turned to show him the scratches that I had hastily stitched up back when I was attacked by the werewolves. (From earlier in the series.)

"How did-" Will stopped short.

He frantically reached for cloth to stop the blood.

"I'm fine it's nothing!" I insisted.

"No." He said.

"I'm alright I can take care of myself!" I shouted holding out my arm to stop him from wasting his time.

He grabbed my wrist and held it in a death grip.

"WILL! I can handle it just leave me alone!" I grimaced.

"NO NICO YOU CAN'T!!! YOU HAVE TO LET ME HELP YOU!" He hollered.

He broke into a cold sweat and sat with his head in his hands.

"Please Nico! Just please let me help! I don't want to lose you!!!" He whispered.

I looked up into into his pleading eyes. Whispering words beyond my ears.

"Okay Will." I muttered.

"What?" He asked surprised.

I locked eyes with him for a brief beautiful moment, "Alright."
