I had drifted to sleep after Will had sobbed and worried over my wounds just trying to stitch my side.

He hadn't been able to.

He knew that it wouldn't heal.

He knew I didn't have much time... He knew I would die.

But he wouldn't admit it.

After a moment of rest Will ran in with a look of worry on his face.

"Nico! Your alright! Oh um I brought you something!" He seemed exasperated.

He raised a black skull shirt probably from my cabin.

"You know that floral shirt really is awful!" Will laughed.

Nico managed a slight smile the most he'd done in a while.

Will handed him the shirt and smiled blue eyes lighting up.

Nico looked at Will expectantly resulting in a confused Will.

"Unless you want to see me with my shirt off you had better get out." Nico joked.

Will looked caught in a headlight nervously glancing at Nico.

"I uh um see you later than." He laughed nervously avoiding Nico's gaze.

Nico had gotten to him and he couldn't help but laugh inside.

Before Will could get out the door Nico called him back, "Will..." He started turning his head.

"Come back and check on me?" He asked.

Will's eyes locked with Nico and a smile creeped on to his tan face.

"Yeah. I'll come back." Will whispered with a look beyond anything Nico had ever seen.
