Hey guys. So I know you're not ready, but it's time. It's been fun.

I looked over at his dark hazy eyes.

If I had ever imagined a demigod dying, it would be on the battlefield, or at the hands of a god.

But never like this. This was not the death of a demigod.

But is was the death of a hero.

Gods there he was.

So brave and sure.

I wrapped him in my arms, bringing his head to my chest the way we would always stay close together.

"Are you scared?" I asked him, trying and failing to keep the shakiness out of my voice.

"No. I'm not scared. Dying will be like going home for me."

"Then why do You seem so scared?" I asked him in concern.

"Will, I- I'm not scared of death. I'm scared, I'm scared of leaving you." He frowned his vision becoming misty.

"You know-" I started choking off words, "we never did get to dance together."

He looked up at me with those sparkly eyes.

Normally he wouldn't have been caught dead doing something so mundane and sappy, but laughing a quick painful laugh he said, "sure."

He quickly turned on the music player I had gotten him.

His strong arms wrapped around me, and mine around him, and a wistful song began to play.

Carefully and quietly Regina Spektor's voice sung beautiful words.

"It started out as a feeling"

We leaned in each other for support, both too weak with grief.

"Which then grew into a hope."

My hands went up and ran through his hair, feeling his locks his beautiful dark curls.

"Which then turned into a quiet thought, which then grew into a quiet word."

His dark eyes, sparkling with tears looked into mine and I could feel tears forming.

"And then that word grew louder and louder, till it was a battle cry!"

He leaned in and his perfect lips met mine.

"I'll come back when you call me, no need to say goodbye."

Tears streamed from our eyes but we didn't break apart.

The lyrics washed over us.

We swayed our foreheads touching, our bodies too tired to stand on their own, tears streaming down our faces.

"Let you're memories grow stronger and stronger, till they're before you're eyes,"

His knees buckled, and I caught him, lowering him to the ground.

My vision became even mistier as his solid form shifted.

He started to fade, staring up at me with his perfect eyes.

His frail hand lay on my cheek, as I bent over him, trying to keep him in my arms.

It felt cold, like the chill of a ghost.

His face was tear streaked as he mouthed the last line. "I'll come back, when you call me. No need to say goodbye..."

And his solid form vanished.

It was like watching myself in a dream.

Percy was behind me, pulling me back as I screamed for him clawing at the ground clawing for Nico.

I howled his name, and knocked Percy back laying crumpled on the ground, where he had been, my arms trying to grasp him.

"Will! Will!" But I couldn't hear them over the roaring in my ears.

The howling pain.

Someone was still screaming.

I think it was me.

Eraina pulled me back but I wouldn't budge.

"NICO! NICO!" My voice rang out.

And everything went black.

Eraina's Pov
I looked at the now unconscious Will, laying where Nico had.

I hadn't noticed the tears streaming down my face until now.

Percy, Jason, Piper, Hazel, Annabeth, Frank, even Reyna looked at me.

Not a dry eye among them.

They looked at me accusingly.

"I just knocked him out," I chocked, "I couldn't see him like that."

I sobbed.

I left them, hurrying past them, back to the Apollo cabin.

I knew what I had to do.

I just didn't know if I'd be able to.
