Hey guys sorry I've been wrapped up in reading. I love gay stories! Alright byeeee!
*************************************I woke up exhausted from worry.

I stared at the ceiling for a moment.

A day wasted without him.

I hurried up and changed into my camp t shirt, a dark grey jacket, and jeans.

I wasn't going to let another one slip by.

I missed him too much for that to happen.

I rushed out the door hoping it wouldn't creak.

I was sure my cabin mates would wake up.

I peered back in.

Eraina wasn't in her usual spot, reading until dawn.

That was weird.

I shook the thought from my head.

Nico was all I could think about.

It was still dark out.

Not like midnight dark but first light dark. I rushed through the camp.

My first instinct was to check his cabin.

No one was around and it was too early for even the harpies to be up.

They went to sleep a bit after four in the morning leaving plenty of time for a number of campers in between four and breakfast.

It was handy in certain situations.

I opened the Hades cabin with a creak.

I scanned the room and noticed a light was on.

I walked further in when I realized it wasn't Nico, but Hazel Nico's sister.

She looked up.

"Sorry." I muttered and turned.

"Wait." She croaked.

She had been crying.

"Your looking for Nico" she didn't exactly ask.

"I um, N- yeah. Yeah I am" I mumbled in reply.

"So you heard" I asked her.

What else would she be crying about.

"He told me an hour ago. I can't believe it. He just found me and- and now he'll- he'll" she couldn't choke out the rest.

I came closer.

Hazel was kind and she leaned into the hug I gave her.

Quiet sobs rang out as she muffled them in her knees.

"Go" she said finally.

"What?" I asked.

"Go to Nico. Spend as much time as you can with him. He loves you. I know he does" her expression turned hard as stone, "but you better be the best thing that he had ever had or I will personally-"

"Woah woah. He's the best thing that's ever happened to me. I would never disrespect him." I promised.

"He took his sword. He's in the forest" she told me. "Make sure he doesn't get hurt."

I nodded worry suddenly creeping into my eyes.

Why would he go to the forest
Alone!?

I walked briskly from the Hades cabin but soon broke into a run.

I had to find him, "Gods let him be okay!" I whispered/screamed in my head.

I raced down the camp not stopping when I got to the edge of the forest.

I ran in faster than ever hoping I'd see him, hoping he'd be alive.

I heard a shout from the left.

I picked up speed and stopped dead in my tracks.

There was Nico.

A wolf lay dead in his tracks, his sword dripping with acidic blood.

The wolf disappeared in a shaft of light.

Only a fang was left.

I rushed forward engulfing Nico in the warmest hug.

He almost collapsed.

He leaned in to me, or more like leaned on me.

I caught him and dragged him to a tree.

"You did underworld magic again didn't you!" I hissed.

He flashed me a pained but beautiful smirk. "You know me."

"Your not supposed to do that!" I seethed my eyes welling.

"Please. I'm fine." He sputtered in between coughs.

I hoisted him the best I could into my arms.

It wasn't easy.

Nico was only a few inches shorter than me and so much stronger.

He was so beautiful.

There was no way I could ever let him go.

I heard distant growls.

I had to get him out of here.

He was barely awake.

I looked up at the tree.

It's branches were low but not too low.

I reached up.

I had to jump to reach it.

My fingers clawed at the rough bark.

They sliced against it.

The howls were growing close.

I hoisted Nico.

Blood dropped down my arm but I couldn't let him go.

I pulled us to the branch.

It was too low.

The wolves would be able to get us.

I pulled him up another branch.

It was too much pressure.

It snapped.

The wolves were at the bottom of the tree.

With a last effort I pushed him to a higher branch without myself.

His eyes fluttered and opened.

A wolf bit my ankle and I yelled in agony.

Nico snapped awake.

He reached his arms down.

"Grab my hand!" He shouted.

I hesitated that the branch would snap but I latched onto his hand and he pulls me up.

It hardly took any effort for him.

He leaned against a tree.

The shorter boy held me to his chest breathing heavily.

"I- I could have lost you!" He whispered through shaky breaths.

For the first time I realized how strong, but terribly... Fragile he was.

"Now you know how I feel" I smiled.

His arms tightened around me and I wrapped mine around him.

"Just hold me for awhile." I told him.

We leaned against the tree and for a moment the howls below were drowned by the intense feeling of his arms around me, his body pressed against mine, his hair ticketing my cheek.

For a moment, that was all that mattered...
