"See you later pumpkin!" Called my mother from the car as i was walking up to the front door...
I flinched as soon as I heard those high pitched words coming from my mother like she was talking to a five year old on their first day of school.

Slowly turning round I see my Mother waving franticly out the window... Then stops and frowns...
"Are you not going to say goodbye to your own mother?!" She yelled with fake anger... All students were looking in my direction... "Will I have to come over and give you a goodbye kiss?"

"No, Mother, you don't" I said back with embarrassment... Wishing she would just leave...

"Alright sweet pea!" She called then drove off... I swear if she's trying to make me a laughing stock... She's doing a good job of it. All the students started giggling, and continued on with their day. As did I, fake giggled to myself... Then made my way to the office to grab my timetable and registration class.

I walked into my registration class and saw a couple of new faces, a few new guys were already making friends with the group of arrogant assholes, a couple of girls were already gossiping with the gossip girls like they have been *BFF's* for years. And so I decided to go sit with the small group of 5 new shy students... For all they knew, I'm a new student too... As far as they needed to know.

I sat down beside a blond girl, quite tall, also quite pretty, but i wasn't interested in her. She was stuck in her book until i sat down, a little surprise for her to see me sit down in the empty chair next to her and pull out my smart phone. I didn't make eye contact with her, but i knew she was checking me out, slowly lowered her glasses, and slowly scanned my body from my feet to my hair. I noticed that she was still looking, so i turned and faced her but she quickly looked back at her book like she was never looking at me in the first place.

"Hey, my names Jason" I said, trying to make conversation, so that waiting for the registration teacher wouldn't be so awkward.

"What..." She stuttered with fake confusion, "Pardon?" She asked, then closed her book, took off her glasses and turned to me, brushing her blond hair out of her face.

"My name is Jason, whats yours?" I asked, putting my hand out to greet her.

"Oh, my... My name?" She stuttered again.

"Yes, your name. It's alright, I wont bite." I said with a friendly smile.

"My name is Helen." She said, then smiled back to me. "I'm new here. And... I suppose you are too?" She asked me.

"No actually, i have been here at this school since i was eleven years old." I stated.

"Oh... Sorry... I just thought cos you sat by me that you were new too."

"No, I just thought I'd make friends with a new student because they are always nicer at start."

"Oh! So you think I'm nice?" Helen asks as she slowly lowers her gaze and begins to blush.

I giggle to myself, "I don't even know you yet Helen, but that wont mean I can't think you seem nice."

Helen doesnt answer, she just looks back into her book and sits there smiling for the next ten minutes until the teacher walks in and takes the role.

Registration class is when the teacher takes the role to see who is in school, each registration class to its own year group, and its on competition house... In other words my class is "12, Absolution"

Absolution is the competition house I'm in, its the grey house.
The other houses are...
Symmetry, which is the orange house.
And Revelations, which is the red house.

After registration, I had English... Great way to start my school year... With english...
