"Hey Jason! Guess what class I found?" Helen yelled as she came bounding toward the Biology class, and which I had just walked out of.

"Um... What class?" I asked

Helen stood right in front of me with a very cheeky grin on her face... Then she pointed at the Biology classroom.

"The Biology room!" She yelled, sounding very pleased with herself.

"Why are you yelling?" I asked her, as i looked at her silly grin, that as soon as she heard the tone of my voice, changed into a very sympathetic frown.

"Oh, whats wrong?" She asked.

"I, have no idea." I was telling the absolute truth... I had no idea why i was upset, or even knew i was upset...

"You look upset." She stated, while putting a hand on my shoulder... I've only just met Helen today, but even though ive only known her for a couple of hours, she treats me like a life long friend... And it's comforting...

But I'll probably lose this friend in summer too...

"Do you know whats for lunch?" I asked Helen.

"No, after class I went to come get you instead of going to. I'd rater sit with a friend instead of by myself." Helen stated.

Makes sense, you would want to sit with people instead of sitting by myself... But I'm so use to sitting by myself that I don't really give it much thought...

When we got to lunch, there was no line at the dining hall, it was pleasant. We could grab a plate and go off and sit wherever there was a seat.

The dining hall was a big room filled with tables, and a line where you grab a tray, plate, and cutlery then waited in line to be served like an all you can eat buffet, except... It wasn't a lot of food you got given.

Helen and I went and grabbed a tray of food each. The lunch was spaghetti and mince... There was one problem... I didn't like spaghetti and mince...

I got a plate of spaghetti and mince anyway, then got a cup of coffee for the meal.

Helen got a plate of spaghetti and mince and a glass of milk, then we went and found an empty desk to sit at.

"So how come you don't have many friends?" Helen asked as we sat down, I looked at her questioningly.

"Oh! You don't have to answer that if you don't want to." She quickly said, realising that her question may have been a little invading of my privacy.

I didn't feel like making up a lie about the reason I don't have a lot of friends, and i didn't think it was time to tell Helen about my condition, so i let the subject drop.

"I was just wondering, because you seem like a great guy, and i was wondering why you didn't have a crew of people like most good looking... Ugh... I mean great guys." Helen stated, becoming very embarrassed about what she accidentally said at the end of the sentence...

"It's alright." I reassured Helen as I poked and prodded my food that would ultimately end up going in the recycling bin anyway.

I was in a bit of a quiet mood for the rest of the day, knowing I could have talked to Amelia but hadn't, made me think that maybe i should pursue things much faster... Because back then in that class, I was waiting for the time when I felt comfortable starting a conversation with her...

Except I took too long...
