Monday; the most dreaded day of the week known to man-kind. It meant yet another long five workdays, counting down until the next two days of freedom until the cycle repeats again.
But to the twenty-three year old host, the feeling of Monday and a new week never felt so good.
After, what seemed to be a never ending eventful week, Maine couldn't help but feel thankful that a new one has begun. And even though was still that slight worry of what her and Alden's relationship is now, she vowed to herself that no matter what it was that tried to ruin her mood, she will keep her head high - looking at the brighter side of things.
She valued her friendship with Alden and there was no second guessing that, but she also decided, right when she came home from the dinner at his house, that she wasn't going to let this uneasy feeling take over her life.
And once that alarm rang out on her phone bright and early of six am this morning, Maine happily got out of bed to get ready for the variety show she made her first start. She was going to make today a good day and her family took notice of this - her brother teasing her about her strangely large smile at such an early time of the day.
Even when she stepped foot on the set of the baranggay they were filming at for the day, her coworkers and co-hosts couldn't help but notice her upbeat mood - once again earning a few teases and questions.
"Bossing, may sumbong po ako." Jose began once today's Sugod Bahay winner walked off cam - a time where JoWaPao and Maine were left to do a bit of banter. His fellow co-hosts began to laugh, their eyes switching over to their youngest member of the four who simply shook her head knowing where this was leading - a small smile on her face.
"Ang anak-anakan nyo po, may bisita ulit." He continued. "Nasa stand-by nag hihintay."
"Nanaman?" Vic Sotto gasped dramatically - going along with Jose.
"Sundo nya yata." Paolo added, wiggling his brows at Maine.
Of course, she laughed - pushing his face away from her. "Wag nga kayo!"
"Namumula si Meng!" Wally pointed out, sending not only Paolo and Jose into fits of laughter but also the well known trio of TVJ.
"Mainit kasi!" Of course, just like what she's known for, Maine played off the embarrassing moment; pretending to fan face and then continuing to her armpits - making everyone laugh even harder.
"October, mainit?" This time it was Jose's turn to tease again.
And yet again, Maine was quick to her feet with her response - a true talent of hers. "Sobrang hot kasi ng mga katabi ko." She grinned.

Soon enough, the teasing subsided between the four casts and the All For Juan segment ended. Maine quickly made her way to the stand-by tent - not wanting to keep her guest waiting any longer.
"Hi, sorry sa mga jokes." She apologized right as she got to where he was sat. "I hope they weren't too much. Ganun lang talaga kami mag joke."
"It's okay. It was funny." He smiled, standing up - now towering over her. "Jokes lang naman, diba?"
She nodded shyly, still a bit embarrassed over the fact that her co-hosts openly joked about her non-existent love life with the PBA play whilst he sat a few meters away.
"Let's go then?" Justin asked.
Maine reached over to the chair next to him, grabbing her purse that she had asked her assistant to prepare so that it was ready by the end of the segment. "Yep." She gestured for him to go ahead, leading the way to his car.
