Daily Manila - Aldub's Not So Happily Ever After
By: Erico Dela Cruz
In a recent post of the FilAm leading star of Hanggang Ngayon on Instagram, the once rumored couple of RachDen has unofficially-officially been confirmed! There wasn't much decoding that needed to be done with the caption of the picture of Alden smiling and holding out a cup of coffee, which read: "There's nothing better than going to work and seeing my mahal greeting me with my favorite drink. :)"
My mahal? To the 10th degree na yata to'ng sakit na to!
And to think our heart couldn't break even more, a rumor of Maine being linked to a certain PBA athlete has been circulating and sending the fandom in to a frenzy. Nagsimula sa simple tweet from our lovely Menggay, thanking the person who sent her a gift basket of candies and chocolates turned in to a week of cryptic tweets. Parang nasa ibang mundo ang dalawa kung makipag tweet, causing the Aldub Nation to make up many guesses to what each one means.
As each month passes, Aldub breaks the nation's heart each more. Di naman natin maiwasan ang pagnotice of the drifting relationship of the past loveteam that once gave the country a hope for love and forever. Kasi naman, totoo ba talaga ang forever kung ang nag paniwala sa'tin dati are nowhere near that destination?

"Ate, I heard Justin trained with Jeremy Lin last year." Dean gushed with yet another fun fact about his idol as his sister watched the stadium fill with more and more people. Thankfully enough, no one has noticed her yet - possibly because this wasn't the typical place the Princess of Comedy would be found. "Do you think kung pakasalan mo--"
"Dean!" Maine chuckled, her eyes growing wide – well that caught her attention. "Calma lang. 'Di pa nga natin alam kung mag mimeet kami ni Justin ngayon, kasal agad?"
"Sorry excited lang." He smiled sheepishly.
As she was about to open her mouth to say something else, the announcer's voice blared loudly through the stadium's speakers - introducing each of the teams as they came running out in to the court, signaling that the game would start soon.
And almost like some kind of reflex, Maine's eyes began to search for Justin's. It only took a few seconds before they locked gazes and a large smile spread across the athlete's face, waving eagerly to her.
Dean nudged his sister, a stupid smile also plastered on his face. "Hi daw," He nodded over to Justin's direction. "Kumaway ka naman."
Maine rolled her eyes, pushing Dean's elbow away from her side and giving Justin a small wave.
"Sus, pakipot pa..." Her brother mumbled, teasing her again.
"Dean, iiwanan kita dito, sige tuloy pa." Maine threatened him playfully.
"Okay. Magpapapahatid nalang ako sa future boyfriend mo para sabay akyat ligaw at paalam kay Mama at Papa." Dean smirked.
Maine sent him a glare. "No one likes a smart ass."
"What? 'Di ka naniniwala na gagawin ko talaga?"
"Dean." She warned.
Before her brother can utter another comment, the sound of a whistle filled the air, signaling the game had begun - capturing the Mendoza siblings' attention.
And soon enough, the two were hooting and hollering with the crowd as the ball was passed from one side of the court to the other.
She never expected herself to have fun, simply attending the game to give Justin a chance because of the sweet nature and sense of character he put out. It intrigued her and she couldn't help but want to meet the person behind all the short sweet messages and presents she had been receiving all week. Maine had never actually been the one to sit down and actually watch a game of basketball, let alone watch it live but if it was always as this intense and fun she wouldn't mind going to one again.
