"W-who's there?" I asked with a shaky voice. My hands started feeling cold, but I still tried to grip on the umbrella I was holding tightly. I slowly took some steps as I tried to be aware while looking around.
"Boo!" someone shouted. I took a deep breath through my mouth for I was really intensely hyperventilating and then hit the guy mightily. When I opened my eyes as I was on the floor already, trying to stay away from that guy, my eyebrows immediately crinkled. "What are you doing here?! Why are you here?! And who gave you the permission to scare me?!"
"Chill," he chuckled, it's Nathan. "Mom called you, right? They're on a vacation so I have to stay here."
"Ugh, can't you take care of yourself?!"
"I don't want to stay here either," he rolled his eyes. "But I just miss my little sister!" he went near me and hugged me tightly, so tight that I can barely breathe.
"Stop it, you monster," I said and he then stopped hugging me.
He stretched both of my cheeks and started to wiggle them, "How's school?"
"It's horrible," I said.
He smirked, "Oh really? My friend said you're having fun."
"Friend? A monster like you even has a friend?" I rolled my eyes.
He grinned and then smirked again as he pointed sidewards with his thumb. I moved my head to that direction and was flabbergasted to see Theo leaning at the wall.
"Theo, you're friends with him?" I asked, shocked.
"He was the one who gave me an advice before," he half-chuckled.
Nathan broke the conversation between us when he talked, "How about you guys tour me to the mall? I haven't been there yet."
Inside the car, Nathan sat in the front seat while me and Theo were at the back seat. Older brother whispered something to the driver, and he smirked that made me curious, but I didn't bother to ask. "Please remove your seatbelts, thank you." I raised my left eyebrow for I thought he was really acting weird.
Our transportation was really wigwag and bumpy, there's nothing wrong with the road. So I asked our driver what's wrong, he said that there's something wrong with the wheels that it's super rough. I didn't know what he meant by that.
"Nathan, can I wear my seatbelt now?" I said with my voice wagging along with the movements of the car. But it wasn't just my voice that was wagging, but also me... and Theo. Our arms were bumping each other until finally our heads did. "Ouch!" both of us chorused. Nathan just laughed at us.
When we finally arrived at the mall, I fixed my bangs as I sighed, "Finally." Monster just groaned while going out of the car. "Please fetch us at 10:30 pm later," he told the driver. "Let's go." Both of them went inside the mall first and I watched the car go, and I looked at the wheels - all seemed to work perfectly fine. That monster might be up to something. I held my chin while looking at both of them.
We went straight ahead to Raffy's restaurant which serves high class savory food, but of course, be prepared to receive bills with high cost. It's okay though since Nathan has lots of money, I'm sure he'll pay for us.
The soups were served first and we were talking. "I seriously thought there was a robber in the house because nanny and the other maids went to the tailor's shop to get their new uniforms," I chuckled.
"I like your tool for selfdefense though," Nathan said, "Umbrella," he bursted out laughing.
I just laughed with him and then asked Theo, "Say, how did you reach the house first?"
