Knowing that I'd be going to an event where four eyes would be was intense. I needed to look good on that day so I decided to go out for shopping. Of course, monster went to the mall with me because it was drudging at home. I think all he ever did was play games on all of his gadgets and play pranks on me – ugh.
We headed to the boutiques so I can find my dress to wear for the opening. Over dramatically, it seemed like I have already fitted every single dress in every boutique. Still, none ever did pass on my standards for a dress I was looking for nor for Nathan's. I think his taste for clothes is surprisingly good, but his taste only works for guys! He's bad at choosing clothes for girls, maybe.
"So what now?" I made a distorted face.
He pouted his lips to the left, "Maybe have a designer make a dress for you?"
"You think I've got time?"
"Uhmm," he paused. "No."
After a while, I've still been searching and searching while that monster was just typing on his phone as he was grinning.
"Hey Nathan," I said as I shook his arms. "Help me here."
"I am," he replied.
I stumped my foot, "No, you're not."
After a second, Theo arrived. "Oh, thank God," Nathan said. I just roared peevishly inside my head.
Monster's phone rang, "Hey," he said. "I've got a call to answer. I'll be back in an hour, I promise I am helping you!"
"Geez," I expressed. I looked at Theo with my hands on my arms, "That monster made you come here?"
"Yup."
I sat down on the leather chair inside the boutique, "I don't know how that Nathan ever made you a liege man."
He chuckled, "I just think it's fun. I'm just going with the flow."
What he said made me look up and think on my own. That's what I've verbalized before I slept. No, just forget everything. Erase, erase.
"So what's the dress for?" he asked.
"For the opening of Greenhouse Café," I answered.
"Hey," he paused. "That's tomorrow!"
I slouched, "Exactly."
He fixed my shoulders so I wouldn't slouch, "You've got," he counted along with his fingers, "like 14 hours."
"You think the shops will be open until morning? I don't think so."
He chuckled, "Just calm down. You will eventually find that dress you're looking for."
So we've walked for half an hour, but still no sign of any good dress. I didn't know why there's none I mean, we've seen hundreds of dresses and the problem is I just couldn't pick!
As we walked, my feet started to ache. Until I almost fell down because my right foot somewhat became mawkish.
"Let's take a break," Theo suggested.
I sighed, "Yeah."
We headed to the Belgian Waffles to take a rest and have snacks. "You sure you won't eat dinner?" I asked.
"Nah," he replied. "I'm still full."
"Okay," I half-smiled. I then grabbed my phone from my sidebag. I dialed Nathan until he answered, "Hey, where are you?"
"I'm coming," he said and I've heard a girl's voice on the call.
"Uhh, who's that girl?"
"Gotta talk to you later," that monster said and hanged up the call.
