It's the day, the day of the opening of Steph's Greenhouse Café. I've been looking forward for this.
"Hey Abegail!" Nathan shouted from downstairs. "The makeup artist is here!"
"I'm coming!"
So I sat down as the makeup artist started doing her work. I got a call from Bea. "Hey?"
"I just found out!"
"Found out what?"
She was breathing loudly on repeat, "After the opening of the Greenhouse café, later at night will be a dance party."
"Disco?"
She chuckled, "Nope! I mean dance as in dance. The waltz-y dance."
"Ohh." I replied and she hanged up the call.
After an hour, I just heard the doorbell rang and Nanny Zenny was the one who checked who it is.
I heard stilettos hitting the floor as one took some steps and it's getting nearer to me. I knew who it was. "Bea?"
"Abegail," she said as her voice sounded like she's ready to sob.
"What's the problem?"
"I need a partner later at the dance!"
I laughed, "Do you really have to?"
"Yes," she answered. "You and Jake and then Alex and Steph. How about me?!"
I just smiled. "How about I find you a partner there later?"
"Nooo!"
There's no one I can think of so I just sighed. Bea was just sitting on the cough when I heard my phone beeped.
I got my phone from the top of the table and I saw Theo's message: "Abegail ahhahaha I really think ur brother's gay hahahahha he's been fitting dresses here in La Vien En Rose! LMFAO"
I grinned as I typed for a response to him, "Theo, can you buy there a suit for yourself and come here ASAP?"
"Eh? Now I really feel like I'm a consecutive assistant of the Autenberry siblings," he replied.
"Pleaseee hahaha thanks!"
"Kk."
It was an hour before ten when we headed to the Greenhouse Café. It's just thirty minutes away, but it's always better to be early than late.
"Why is Theo here again?" Bea asked. I was sitting at the back with her while Theo is sitting in front on the passenger's seat.
"He'll be your partner at the dance," I winked.
"What?!" both of them asked in chorus.
Theo looked at me, "Seriously, Abegail?"
"It's just a dance, please."
He rolled his eyes and then just leaned on his seat, "You owe me two things now."
I chuckled, "I know."
"Thank you Abby! And thanks to you too Theo!" Bea thanked as she hugged me.
When we arrived there, we were already greeted by the staffs and then we saw Steph on the entrance. "Good morning!" he greeted.
"Good morning," I replied as I looked around inside. "I guess this will be my new hangout place."
He smiled, "You brought—"
"Theo."
"Yes," he said. "The one that went to school, right?" I nodded.
"Well I'm glad that Theo is here. Let me stroll all of you around," he grabbed Theo's arms and then we went inside the Greenhouse Café. Theo then just looked at us as we grinned secretly.
As we were walking, I asked, "Where are the others?"
"Alex will be here any minute now and Jake will be kinda late, I hope."
"Huh?
"His sister just arrived the day before yesterday and I think they will have that 'bonding time'," he said with his middle and index finger bopping.
"Better late than never," Bea said.
After a moment or two, all of us were finally settled there at the entrance except for Jake who is nowhere to be found. Camera flashes were all around us and the scissor with a fancy bow was raised and ready to cut the ribbon.
3... 2... 1... cut! And it's official. The Greenhouse Café is finally open.
