"What's this for?" I opened it. "Greenhouse Café opening?"

"Stephen's parents own that," Alex told me.

"It's Steph," Steph corrected. "Back to the subject, it's my idea. All of us know it's very relaxing to be surrounded by plants because the air is extremely fresh unlike the Provincial park located at the center of the city, very smoky."

"Oh okay," I half-chuckled.

"So can you go? All of us will come, including Jake," he winked.

I grinned, "I'll definitely come!"

He raised his right shoulder, "It's on Wednesday, don't forget. Please wear your formal dress."

"Okay," I answered happily.

We sat on the bench there at the unroofed portion of the middle of our house. Our feet were stepping on a marble wide tile on top of the bermuda grasses.

It was ultimately quiet, all I can hear was the sound made by us supping the hot choco that nanny served so I changed the atmosphere. "How's school?"

"It's—" four eyes did not continue. Everyone laughed except the two of us because I did not know why.

"Why are you guys laughing?"

"Jake's been waiting for this moment, to get a chance to talk to you!" Bea assumed.

Jake rolled his eyes and it was Alex's turn to speak, "Seems like your four eyes got his new admirer."

"Eh?"

She showed me a screenshot on her phone. A girl named Mica posted a status on Facebook: Comment "Jake" for a tbh. She was obviously in to four eyes. Ugh.

I just rolled my eyes as I tried to sip the hot choco, but I accidentally spilled it to myself. "Sorry, but I got to change." I excused myself.

When I reached my bedroom, I directly forged to my closet and opened it with my might. My lips crinkled, "That girl!"

I was sulking as I searched for clothes. When I got dressed, I went back to them.

"So, road trip anyone?" I sat down. "We can look for places we can shoot at for our project."

"We've already done that," four eyes adjusted his glasses.

"Oh," I expressed with my lips frowning a bit straightaway.

Steph's phone then rang and as soon as he hanged up the call, he told me he had to go along with everyone. They needed to help set up for the café, I wanted to help but I couldn't and I was not allowed to.

A few days have passed and on Wednesday was my last day of using crutches for my legs are getting back to normal again – yay!

I decided to visit them at school for I consider them now as my friends and not just as my group mates nor classmates. As soon as I got out of the car, I saw four eyes, I mean two eyes—Jake. He was not wearing any glasses. He was assiduously reaching out and chasing a girl for she was holding his glasses. Basing from that situation, she was making fun of him. He could not see clearly, I reckoned, that made him slip and fall.

When I saw what just happened, I immediately ran towards him. It was that I didn't realize there was a running car towards me. I felt the wind passing through right in front of me as my bangs swayed along with it, I saw it with my own startled eyes. I breathed heavily as then I realized I was not hurt. I was dumbfounded that I unclenched from holding my crutches. Trying to catch my breath, I looked back to see who was covering me by his arms. It was Theo.

"Are you okay?" he asked with his eyes looking directly at me and I could sense that he was trying to catch his breath too.

"I am," I answered solemnly while the driver of the running car shouted to be careful next time and then he continued driving.

After that, I did not mind my own feelings about what had happen. I forged to where Jake was at and then grabbed his glasses from that girl. "How dare you make fun of him?!" I growled, still out of breath.

I helped four eyes get up and Theo then assisted him, but his other hand held my arm, telling me to stop. I couldn't control my anger.

"I was just kidding," she answered. "I will return his glasses."

"Oh really?" I asked with a sarcastic voice. My left eyebrow then raised when I saw her name on the id, Mica. So that's why her face was familiar, it's because she's the new admirer of four eyes.

"Yes," she answered.

I raised my chin up, "Well then, stop." I turned my back with my hair flipping intentionally and as soon as when I knew she cannot see my face, I rolled my eyes.

"Let's take him to the school clinic," Theo said and I then nodded my head.

When we got there, I was the one who treated four eyes' scratches.

"How dare that girl take your glasses?!" I started ranting. "She knew your vision would be blurred, but she still did and thought it was fun! How am I supposed to call you four eyes then?!"

Theo snorted, I knew he was just holding his laughter.

Four eyes sighed heavily, "Just calm down. I'm okay."

I flicked my head and looked at the translucent glass window, I saw Mica trying to see through it. I then stood up and went in front of it, "That is what my Jake sees without his glasses. You think it's fun? Think again." I closed the curtain.

With another reason, four eyes' phone rang. He had to go, his dad was already outside to fetch him. I wanted to accompany him outside, but he hesitated. Besides, I don't want his dad to see me in this situation – with crutches.

So it was me and Theo left. I complained to him, "Why didn't that four eyes thank me for saving him?!"

"And why didn't you thank me for saving your life?"

"Oh," I chortled. "Thanks for saving my life!"

He grinned, "Where's my prize?" I just stuck my tongue out. "Hey! It's unfair! You owe me."

"Okay okay," I laughed. "What do you want?"

"You," he winked. I smiled when he replied that because that reminded me of what I said before when I first met four eyes.

I chuckled, "Stupid. What do you want?"

"I dunno," he raised his right cheek.

"Seriously? So how am I gonna give you the prize then?"

"I'll just tell you when I think of something I want."

"K," I answered.
