Faces flooded my brain, making me wake up with a jolt. It was still night out and I was alone in my room. Cassidy and Raven must have left me here. Slowly, I edged off of the bed and walked to the bathroom. My skin was slick with sweat, my hair stuck out of its usual Chinese bob. I sighed...

Last night, I had fled because someone had simply found my real eyes beautiful. Because someone wanted more in than anyone before. A shudder ran down my spine. My hand found the tap and I turned. Blood came pouring out. I screamed, thrashing away from the sink.

So much blood.

"Luciana?!" Xavier yelled as he threw open my bedroom door. He came rushing to me, my body already going limp from the fast reaction. "Xavier..." I uttered, before my body collapsed. He caught me in time and took me to bed. "You shouldn't get up, not yet." he cooed as he tucked me into bed. He tried leaving but before he could, I grabbed his wrists and stared him in the eye. He looked stunned. "Your eyes." he murmured and I blushed beside myself. "Stay." I whispered, making him smile. "Of course." he answered and climbed into bed with me.

His long muscled arms wrapped around my waist and tugged me closer, a feeling of safety crawling over me. "I love you Luna." he whispered into my hair, causing a tingly sensation to dance down my neck.

"I love you too, Xavier." I said, finally going back to sleep.

Morning came again, as I knew it would. The world does not stop when you do. Xavier and I walked hand in hand down to breakfast, seeing as I now could get grips on my feet. Although Xavier warned that if I do fall again, he will tie me up in bed, personally. I believed him.

"Morning everyone." I spoke. All heads turned to me. "Luciana, what are you doing out of bed?" Adrian was the first to be concerned. "She wants to eat with us and share her information on something." Xavier answered for me, pulled out my chair and motioned for me to sit. I did.

"Well you could have asked us to your bedroom so that you don't strain yourself." Raven countered. "I am not a hurt little child, Rava, I am still the Ruler here. I may not be in harmony. But I will be, very soon." I answered for myself this time. Raven kept quiet.

"So, now that you are back, can we discuss what happened last night?" Xavier asked. I gave him a look. "I will tell you all that needs to be told, in the sequence it happened, is that fine with all parties present?" I raised my eyebrow and everybody nodded. "Good. But first. Tell the maids I am in need of the best meal they can cook and let one of the guards fetch Abney. I think it is safe to say that she won't run away." I ordered and the guards scattered.

The meal was amazing, everything a person could dream of for breakfast was set on the table. We were all savoring every bite. "Remind me to tip Lady for this glorious meal." I said, wiping my mouth with a napkin. "Luciana, will you inform us now?" Shaé questioned and I sighed. "If I must."

"Where did you go?" Cassidy enquired. "I flew off to some town not far from here, just needing my time. The town's people knew who I was and gave me a place to stay and clothes, seeing as I had none. They didn't ask questions on how I got there, naked and dirty, and I was fine." I took a pause, taking a sip from my apple juice.

"They were nice and I didn't plan on coming home for a few days. Then I saw it. The Black Guard's symbol on one of the buildings. For so long I have thought they went into complete hiding, even stop existing, after I killed all of their officials. But I'll be damned." I looked to Abney, her eyes pale with rims underneath, as if she hasn't slept. I shook it off.

"I guess I forgot how hard it was to kill off a plague. So I went inside, knowing they'll recognise me. They did. And one snarled at me with a sword made out of meteor fragments in his hand. I just laughed. I didn't take the place seriously. I could kill them in a heart beat now that I no longer have any weaknesses. But then another man came out and told me that I was too late to stop them. That they are coming... With an enemy far larger than their ranks were one day." I shudder again as my tale ended. Everyone stared at me.

"Well fuck." Adrian said, earning us all a laugh. Trust him to be so blatant. "Fuck indeed." I said. "But what happened last night that caused you to get weak in seconds?" Xavier pressed. "I opened the tap and blood came out. Thinking about it now, it doesn't make sense. So I guess I just hallucinated. I'm just tired of blood shed..." I sighed and leaned on my elbows. "We know." Shaé said and for the first time this morning I truly looked at her.

Her eyes were still a cool grey, her blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail. She looked young, but she had grown in wisdom since we first met. "I have orders for you all. You are to return to your domains today. Ferret out the Black Guard and update me on the Light Jade. We will talk every day. But right now, ending these people should be our number one priority. The town's folk told me that another dozen or so supernaturals were kidnapped this week only. It has to stop." my voice was final, so everyone just nodded. But Abney spoke. "What about me?" she questioned. "You will stay with me. You are to be informed by myself these next few days, then sent to your father. Our plan should be set in motion." I stared at her a few seconds longer than norm then averted my gaze.

"Is everyone clear on what should be done?" I enquired. They all have me a yes and I smiled.

This was my family...

Apart we were powerful, but together we were unstoppable.
