Teleportation had never been my strong suite. Only the best of the best could master it and even then when you landed, the world would tilt. Humans had it worse than supernaturals so Daveed's grip on my neck slipped away completely when we arrived in the stark white room I was in earlier. He heaved up the content of his stomach, giving me a gap of time. I kicked the big man's ribs and he fell to his side. Stars danced in his eyes again. For the first time he could clearly look into my eyes and he sunk back into himself.

"Your eyes." he murmured. "Yes... They are one of a kind. Just like myself." I growled out and kicked him again. He cringed, his smirk firmly tucked away for good. My fists closed around his shirt and I pulled him up with every fibre of my strength. My head collided with his in a sickening crunch as I head budded him. Before he could fall to the floor again, I already snuck in several more punches. He landed with a dull thud and I turned.

The chains where the sweet young and inoccent boy were chained up lay in front of me. I seethed. "Have mercy on me." Daveed whispered from behind me. The plea boiled my blood even more. "You don't deserve it." I hissed out and took the two chains in my hand. Rust dug into my skin and a pang of sadness crossed over me to think that he had lived so long with these chains.

With swift movements, I spun around. Daveed stood behind me, gun in hand. A smile spreading on his lips. "Don't you fucking dare, devil." he snarled, making me smile. "Guess I'll see you in hell then." I muttered, gripping the chains tighter. My arms coiled, then burst forward. One of the chains knocked the gun from his grasp whilst the other wrapped around his neck. I threw him to the floor on his stomach and my heel swept in to push him even deeper into the floor.

"This is for my people." I hissed and took out a long Black Guard blade. It was jagged, like broken teeth. I turned so that his head was in front of me and his back beneath me. I crouched lowly and whispered into his ear. "Meet you in hell, asshole." and with a swish of my wrist, his throat gave way beneath the blade.

Blood instantly formed in a puddle around his head. It took everything inside my head to not stop and lap up his blood. I left the blade by his head and trotted through the house to the front door.

"Make sure this place is locked tightly and that no other guards escaped. Keep looking for Mr. Kamdar. Keep me posted." I instructed and Leo, the head of security, nodded and walked off. Bodies lay all over the lawn, some familiar, others as foreign as the vast universe. "You never did tell me why your people's weakness were meteor fragments." Adrian cooed, as he walked closer to me. In a lazy motion, he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer. My mouth was near his ear and I whispered him a story amongst the ruin of battle.

"When we were just created, when the first of my kind rouse, we just had one form. We were magnificent beasts with dreams beyond any mortal mind. We were free. But earth grew tedious. Realising we did not need to breathe air, we leapt to the sky. The universe could have been our play ground. Our elders set the task to fly for as long as we could in search of a new world... The gods didn't like this. They have us a paradise and yet we wanted more... So they doomed us. Any fragments that did not come from this earth would do us a great deal of harm. This did not stop us. So then they made humans and doomed us to their form and mindset. Lower specie, lower brain capacity, less defying their wishes..." I ended the story, kissed his cheek and stalked to the middle of the yard.

I gave him one last look, then leapt into the air and took my natural form.

Two days later.

We still hadn't found Mr. Kamdar, but that was a good thing. I didn't wish to defy Abney's wishes by killing him, as I was obligated. In the past two days I had come to terms that I couldn't rule the world alone and delegate justice every where. Our first democratic election will be held next year where seven leaders would be appointed beneath me. Every race will then get one representative from each continent to work beneath that leader. This way we could stop any rebellion or high injustice taking place before it got out of hand.

Our home life had also improved drastically. The coming of a baby and a new boy brought long needed joy into Cassidy since her accident. Adrian and Xavier also said they wish to conceive twins within Raven. I was so excited about the prospect of raising my own kind I said yes without thinking about the consequences.

We will have four children by next year this time. God help me.

"Please pass the peas." Cassidy asked Raven from across the table. The whole family sat around the table, all except for me and the two new additions. We stopped in the door to the dining hall and all turned to us. "Are you alright Luciana?" Shaé asked, taking a piece of meat from Xavier's plate. "I have decided on their names." I said and looked down to the little boy with the flaming eyes. "And what can we call them?" Adrian enquired. "The little girl will be Hailey, named after the Hailey's commet. She is my big dream, she is my unvirse..." I said, looking knowingly towards Adrian. "And the boy?" asked Raven.

"He's Nuri... Because he is my fire."
